"You will find a part of you belong to someone you love"
Shikamaru hummed remembering what ino had said they argued
"It will be the tiniest but clear for everyone around you but yourself"
They argued, talked and gossiped reminding each of them their past how he hates flower and used to cringing whenever she brings them her flowers
It was embarrassing to him to walk around holding a bouquet of flowers between the crowd of konoha
He thought of flowers they were just colorful plants with a nice scent
But he got used to it now every time he met his teammates she always bring flowers to them and he learned to treasure these things
But thinking of what she said now
It made sense to him when he thought about his surroundings the people he knows
Kiba the one the always thought cats were his worst enemies now is buying food for each one he met on his way to his fiancée
Sakura the beauty of this village surpassed everyone to become like this dark haired male
Naruto shared the cheerfulness with Sakura once but he changed with the time maybe he grew out of his childhood crush but now who was he turning to
Shikamaru almost laugh at the thought that came to his head if he had to pick someone it would be Sasuke
The genius smirked
Sasuke and Naruto?
And then he laughed quietly
But then who would Sasuke pick habits from? Shikamaru hummed and drowned his thoughts holding the flowers closely

The water dripping from his chin to the sink between his arms as he leaned on them the cold water didn't help to distract his thoughts from eating him inside
He was going to stand above their heads to protect as they choose this village's fate.
The door opened and a lazy brown eyes stared at his dark ones each of them was trying to read the other with failed attempts each of them were mysterious
"Ready?"
Shikamaru didn't really want to speak to this person he wanted to sit on his chair letting the smell of paper around took all over him.
Sasuke didn't speak but he stood straight and walked pass the Nara to that rooms his grip tightened around his katana
"Control yourself!"
the strong voice from behind him stopped his steps
Sasuke had to look behind to make sure that voice came from the hokage's advisor
"Nothing good will come after what you're intending to do"
The last uchiha stood in front of him with a smirk
"How do you know what I intended to do?"
It was challenging in his voice but Shikamaru sighed
This person was still a kid who wanted to fight everyone
"Once wasn't enough for you?"
Huh?
The confusion appeared on Sasuke's face
"You had to lose your whole clan before and now you just created another one so you want to repeat the same thing again ?"
Sasuke looked to the person standing in front of him
Wanting to say something back he was uchiha Sasuke
But what if it happened again
Shikamaru watched as Sasuke avoided his eyes biting his lips
Shikamaru blinked at the view
His question was answered so fast
The side of the other person in Sasuke was showing and it amused him

Shikamaru walked down the streets to where the hyuga's compound kicking rocks on his ways
Traces of the war were still hanging inside him
Shikamaru bowed to the guards protecting the princess inside
Last night he had dinner with his family.. his mother he didn't know who was his family besides his mother?
They weren't used to the empty place at the front of the table their hands gathered to pray but their prayer wasn't heard
Their used to his voice speaking both of their eyes fell on his empty space
But they never spoken
the dinner was so quiet
The memory climbed his head when he looked around all these servants and maids
'Does she ever feel lonely?'
Everyone in the war suffered but they kept on going building their homes again
So why was she an exception?
They all experienced the same pain same tragic
How is she different?
It was her responsibility, her choice and she chose Naruto knowing how neji would react right?
She's failing her village again
"Nara-san"
Shikamaru turned to the maid Who spoke with her head down he wasn't used to it
"Hinata-sama will be here in minutes"
Shikamaru bowed too
"Thank you"
He didn't raised his head until she was gone
Was hinata used to older people bowing their heads to her??
The door opened again
And a small figure appeared she didn't make any eye contact and he didn't care
"Hokage-sama, asked for your appearance but you didn't come do you a reason?"
This wasn't the reason he came here in the first place he was asked to give her the files that held her new students informations
Shikamaru watched in silence
She avoided his eyes never looked up
"You know we lost other people besides neji i lost my father ,ino too, lee and tenten lost their teammate too your not the only one who lost someoen but we kept on
Hinata bite her white lips he could see them turn red And in front of her red eyes was thrown papers
"These are young students who lost their sensei too in the war but they're still fighting for this place as much as we all are"
Pointing his chin towards her
"The hokage had recommended you to be their sensei now which means they're your responsibility now so..."
Shikamaru paused looking up and down her tiny figure in front of him his doubts about her abilities to lead a team were showing in his little judging eyes
"try not to fail us again"
With that he left letting the satisfaction he felt when he saw her eyes watering drain his pain he felt inside his chest

The room was so wide with fancy lights above these people's head, their blabbering sounded loud that he wanted to finish what he had planned that time in the kages gathering
"Hiashi hyuga had his reasons"
A quiet voice yet so noisy spoke and the room went silent listening politely to the person
"The war had began no need to bring the past, this would have happened sooner or later isn't this true kakashi-sama?"
All eyes were on the sixth hokage Sasuke could tell that everyone was surprised by that statement even the advisor himself he was disappointed.
Then it hit him when kakashi himself informed the other that he and that old man had discussed this before?
The old man spoke again
"This for their own sake, we're trying to develop their lands to become powerful like any other village"
Why? How?
By wiping them away because they stand up on their way for something else it wasn't development what they were running after they all know
The all want the same thing
"Nothing comes good after a war"
Again the room went quiet the tension around them was suffocating
Shikamaru continued ignoring all the flares sent hsi way they have always hated him he doesn't bend easily this young Nara had been a pain in their heads for this short time
"How is starting a war with people who we all here knows that we surpassed them by everything considered as a development for their sake?"
He didn't care for all the flames that was directed to him
He continued
"It will bring nothing but hate and hate will bring something more they won't sit and wait for us to take everything they had from under their-"
"Watch your words Nara-san, are you trying to say that we are starting this for our own benefit?"
Kakashi was sending warning with his dark eyes towards his advisor
"What I'm trying to say is that hate will start with a words and end with wars taking people's lives-"
"It wasn't words only! They attacked the daughter of one of the most powerful clans in konoha!-"
Sasuke spaced
To that lavender tea, to her brown notebook, to her fairytales that filled her dresser, to the roses that painted the garden.. to her.
But why did he pictured her in a white hospital's bed?
Her eyes were wrapped again
'If that day came sooner, what would you do?'
He still trying to find a way to live with that?
How?
He would have to returned again to that dark, empty, cold compound
And he hates it.
"She's not a part of it!"
Sasuke came back to reality again
It's funny how years ago he was hanging on the ceiling with a different intention but now he was here to protect their heads
"Hyuga Hinata was kept out of at the request of her spouse Uchiha Sasuke"
Kakashi mentioned that and Sasuke
"And instead of hinata's appearance in battlefield Sasuke uchiha despite his request before to not be included in the war agreed to join"
All the faces were shocked some with a relief and other with doubts
He wasn't surprised by their reaction Sasuke expected worse
His dark eyes scanned the people underneath
And then they met the byakugan of the leader of the hyuga's and his father in law
They stared in each other's blank expression
For a minute and hyuga hiashi was the first to look away

Hinata huffed looking ahead of her to where her belongings appeared to be she was ready.
The hyuga walked fast to the door her thrilled steps was the only thing you can hear in this huge compound.
Opening her door she took a look to the wet flowers she watered a minute ago then up to the stars that began to shine on the sky
One last glance to the place behind she will never miss
Hinata shut down all the lights and then walked away
To the gate of this village that a lot of people admired now
But Hinata couldn't see its glory
It's nothing but a place that shined with sacrifices of many shinobi that rested in the darkest place
"Hinata it's been a long time"
She smiled her typical smile
"Have a safe trip"
And then she nodded walking away fast
Looking back to this place that she would never missed or return too hopefully one last glance and she vanished
