His honeymoon had passed without processing anything he wake up to the smell of a delicious breakfast go out train until she passed by to give him lunch come back home for dinner no word was spoken between the couple they were living their life quietly the only time he would try something was when she is deep in sleep his hand always reached her hair running his fingers through it ,amazed by the mixture of natural colors that shined under the moonlight sometimes he would rest his hand on her shoulder or waist an action that helped sleep to come faster.
he didn't imagine it would be like that.
Sasuke sighed resting his head against the tree behind him this was his first mission after his wedding when he came his team had congrats him giving him gifts but Sasuke only nodded he didn't expect that he would receive anything from his team
This was the third day in his mission and he missed his home they ate nothing but food bills.
"Senpai"
He looked to the guy in the other side of him
"Riku had spotted an intruder from the north"
The younger male informed sasuke excitedly but Sasuke wasn't, he wanted this mission to finish as soon as possible another sigh ran through his mouth while he placed his mask on his face and got up heading to wherever these people were

They finally came back to the village to their homes, it was his first time to miss this place but it was his home too after all, Sasuke walked ahead of his team before bowing to each other and separated they weren't allowed to be seen outside their missions, they weren't allowed to have a gathering dinner like the rest of the shinobi after a mission just do your thing and leave that was all and Sasuke prefers it that way he didn't like the gatherings he wanted to rest only.
drowning in his thoughts made the road to his home shorter he realized that when he looked up to see his home he stood there for a minute observing this huge house that belonged to him now.
(Can you see it nii-san? This house belongs to me now, i have a home and a wife now, just like mother wanted to can she see it too?)
Sasuke shook his head he just came home no need for any depressing thoughts, going inside his house he breathed her scent first thing in his home she had spread her scent already in his house at least this place had a smell covering the dusty smell it had before, sasuke walked inside seconds had passed and she was there welcoming him her eyes meeting the floor when she bowed slightly
"Welcome back"
These words were flew out from her simply, it was something she heard before multiple time but he was a different story hearing these refreshed his brighten features the tiredness of his recent mission had fade away upon hearing these words but she witnessed the faint change of his expression
"I'm back"
Hinata took a step to turn but she stopped looking back at him he was surprised when she stepped towards him and took his arm in her hands examining his tiny injuries his eyes never left her he saw the small frown in her lavender eyes
"Please sit down"
Mentioning to the couch he did as she said resting his elbows on his knees and hanged his head down until he sensed her sitting down in front of him
Sasuke looked up to her watching as she cleaned his injuries with the same frown unaware of the dark eyes that were watching her, he didn't expect to be here he thought that she wouldn't react when she see him but she had welcomed him thinking that was enough for him.
Usually when he return from missions he head back to the shower washing away the dust or any traces of blood in his body wether it his or somebody's else
Then head back to bed ignoring the sour muscles that ached through his body when he laid down on his back waiting for his brain to get used to the pain of his body before he drifted to sleep no hospitals or medics to take care of him looking down to his arms it felt good to be take care of by someone else.
Even though this person didn't have to she did anyways wiping his blood gently, applying her cream over his injuries, Sasuke smiled a little when she blow on the injury to push the pain away.
It worked not only in the injuries on his arms but her small action blew something heavy on his chest away feeling it became lighter.
"Umm..is..that all?"
Sasuke looked at her why was she confused, her eyes were wide a little he could see confusion on her fa-
That when he realized he was watching her the whole time like an idiot his eyes widened too.
The couple looked at each other with confusion waiting for the other to explain their actions.. No both were waiting for an explanation for His actions
Without answering Sasuke stood on both feet and walked to the room she followed behind him looking at his back when he grabbed a towel he noticed her fidgeting and so he raised a brow at her and she finally spoke
"Father invited us for dinner tonight are you free?"
Sasuke glared at his clothes in the closet he needed to rest he wanted a time to close his eyes and lay his back to rest his body he turned his eyes to her to decline but hesitated she was looking at him with eyes he couldn't see through, he held his decline inside his throat looking at her now made him hesitate thinking a second thought and he wasn't that kind of person but she must be missing her family it's been a month since she saw them and her father probably wanted to see his daughter too even though he wasn't showing it. Sasuke looked back to his closet then nodded his head without looking at her but he knew that she was happy hearing her steps against the floor were different than before and he smiled a little.

Walking out in the village he needed someone to be by his side too, someone to be his family heading towards the hokage he stood looking to the tiny, crowded place around him. A place which Sakura had mentioned before they were servicing sweets and tea only remembering someone's fondness of tea maybe he should bring her some as a thank you walking towards it he stopped when someone called for him
"Uchiha-san"
A smaller girl struggled to approach him with a smile
And when she reached she bowed slightly
"Good afternoon"
Sasuke looked down to her without returning her greeting and she wasn't offended, she looked back to the crowd she came from
"Are you here to buy cinnamon buns?"
If she wasn't Hinata's student he would have scared her away but he wasn't ready to upset hinata for a crying baby, Sasuke raised his brows when the girl offered a small box
He wrinkled his nose when the smell of sweets attacked him, he hated sweets but he stopped when the girl spoke
"Hinata-sensei loves cinnamon buns so I bought an extra for her to deliver it but since uchiha-san is here you can enjoy it too"

He knew another side of her and little by little all her sides would be clear to him
Sasuke smirked a little to the girl accepting the box
Since the girl gave him a new information about his wife he nodded to her ready to leave but she stopped him again by holding his arm
"I didn't get to say this to you before so"
He watched the young girl with a raised brows waiting for her to finish but his brows were both raised when she bowed completely.
"Congratulations on your wedding uchiha-san, please take care of hinata-sensei"
Then she smiled and waved walking to another direction
'Hinata-sensei said that you were one of the heroes who defended us in the war'
She wasn't a fan nor a hater, she looked at him as if he was one of the rest like a normal shinobi from the leaf, some hero who fought for his village.
Sasuke looked down to the sweets that started to cling its smell on him, continuing his way towards the hokage drowning himself in thoughts.
(So she loves the sweets)
Something he would need to get used to, the smell of sweets, Sasuke was trying to study her carefully so he could continue on his way to reach his wishes to make her more comfortable around him and trust him he would need a long time.
he sighed she was the only thing he had been thinking of lately and only her and despite all that they hadn't stepped forward yet she had built a wall between them and she was the only one controlling their life one minute she would be caring, loving wife and the other totally stranger she was confusing him and what with her eyes? he felt intimidated whenever he met them afraid that she might see through him to his intentions and his thoughts.
He shook his head again to brush these thoughts that attacked him when he was standing in front of the building where his sensei was

Her words flashed inside his head and Kakashi sighed resting his head back, his village was not in a mess everything was fine.
But still he felt the freedom of some people were taken away from them, like their life in their home wasn't as comfortable as it should be and he felt helpless like someone had to live their life for a reparation for their future of what had the past destroyed.

his gaze looked up waiting for the door to open and it did revealing the last uchiha standing there looking at him with his dark eyes
"Kakashi"
Kakashi grinned his usual grin to his student which Sasuke always muttered when he see his grin

Kakashi stood happily as if Sasuke wasn't in his twenties but still the 7 years old boy
"Sasuke-kun what's that smell?"
Kakashi's eyes fell on the small box between Sasuke's hands walking towards he took it without a permission opening to smell the cinnamon inside
"Nani? Did you bring this for me as expected from my favorite student~"
He raised his hand in attempt to pat Sasuke's head but Sasuke's hand reached the box first snatching it away from him still muttering 
"Get lost"
The sixth hokage pouted crossing his arms without receiving any mercy from the uchiha
"Then what's brought you here?"
Sasuke looked down taking a step back, he had came for a reason but he didn't know how to say it to the old man in front of him
"Hiashi Hyuga had invited us for a dinner"
The copy nin nodded his head to Sasuke watching his face as Sasuke avoided his eyes
"Me and my wife are going and I wondered"
Kakashi smiled behind his mask when Sasuke said 'my wife'
It felt like he was getting old but something inside him relieved to see someone beside his student
"Did he invited you? Since you're the hokage"
Kakashi shook his head he didn't heard of any invitation of the hyuga's leader.
This was harder on Sasuke than before he expected kakashi to be there without him having to say it but he had too there was no choice he wanted someone beside him there, Sasuke opened his mouth intending to speak but Stopped when Kakashi started
"However someone else did invited me"
Sasuke looked up confused
"Your wife had"
Kakashi looked closely to the uchiha and grinned
"It's seem that you're stuck with me Sasuke are you happy?"
Sasuke covered his relieved with a frown but Kakashi could see the faint of smile on his face when he muttered something that shikamaru used to say
"Che, troublesome"
And walked out of the office heading to his home huge amount of thoughts attacked him once whenever he settled on one thing another thing happened making his thoughts complicated again and he would suffer the hesitation and doubts kn his head.
Sasuke looked up again these thoughts made his way to his place shorter.
That was the only thing he liked about them, he wasn't someone who would think a lot of something or hesitate he was someone who always make the decision inside his head and went for it but he wanted to be careful now, Sasuke sometimes lose his sense because of his own thought trying to study this person to make his way to his dreams smooth
"Welcome back"
Sasuke looked up
All of this because of this one person
Because of his wife.
Because of Hinata Hyuga.
Sasuke nodded his head towards stepping closer to her, his eyes fixed on her to see a glimpse of emotion in these pearls staring back at him, nothing growing inside them but confusion.
Sasuke stood in front of her looking down to her she wasn't looking straight to his eyes, he knew that she was looking to his brows or forehead but not his eyes
And he wasn't pleased with that, it hurts his pride but he said nothing about it, Sasuke offered the box of sweets to her
"I brought these for you"
He said watching her features with sharp eyes to see any hint of what was inside her.
She smiled when she smelled the smell of cinnamon and for a moment he thought that she forgot that she was married to him and they were only teammates
"Thank you Sasuke-kun"
Sasuke raised his brow at the kun he doesn't remember which name she called him before and after their marriage but it was definitely not Sasuke-kun.
But he knew her attention wasn't at the same place she was staring at her sweets and he walked towards the room
"Wou-"
She stopped herself when he started walking hut he stopped too upon hearing her voice looking at her to continue what she was about to say
"Umm.. would you like some with tea?"
Sasuke shook his head mumbling to her that he hated sweets and before he closed the door he heard her
"Gomen"
He didn't why she was apologizing but he didn't ask heading to the bathroom he took off his clothes breathing deep the scent of the sweets were clinging on his body to his nose.
It fit her that she loved the sweets, flowers and tea
It fit her to be a hyuga too, the uchiha don't like flowers or sweets only tea in occasions but they preferred the sake.
His mother was an exception she loved the flowers and tea but she didn't like the sweets, this was something Hinata had alone.
He wasn't surprise, if anyone met her for the first time they could tell that she loved the sweets, it was obvious in her smiles, her personality she was sweet.
Sasuke sighed and raised his face to the shower over his head making the water hit his face directly pushing back his hair, again she had completely messed up his head and thoughts.
Sasuke washed the smell of sweets away and left the bathroom with only a towel wrapped around his waist, looking inside the room his wife was there she raised her eyes to the sound of the bathroom door and when she saw him half Naked she turned her eyes as if she saw something forbidden from her eyes
She mumbled something he did hear and turned to the closet taking her clothes and walked passed him to the bathroom even when she hadn't shower he could smell her scent mixed with the sweets she had
Sasuke closed his eyes feeling the ease of her scent settling deep inside him and he remembered one thing
'She smells nice'
When did he say that? And to who?
A silver haired male flashed refreshing that night
Sasuke looked back to the closed door he just came out of when he heard the shower his hand raised to the door for no reason and no reason at all he found himself questioning

A small thought pushed its way through his head and messed up his thoughts again.

Kakashi wasn't someone who came at time, he is always for different reasons but same excuse.
But this time he had to be in time for one reason
'Could you please come too, Sasuke needs someone by his side to be his family'
She was the prey in this marriage so why was she fighting for it?
She doesn't live him and he heard the gasp when Sasuke signed the papers sealing her fate to be by his side for the rest of her life or until Sasuke change it whenever he wanted, was that her way to protect herself? Asking Kakashi to be his family to stop her husband from betraying her behind her back? Would Sasuke betrays her at all?
'She smells nice'
He remembered that night something was off with Sasuke he didn't know about that night he knew his students wasn't in love with her either he wanted his clan back and that was his only reason, If Kakashi was stupid he would thought after hearing his words that Sasuke loves her but he knows his student better than anyone.
He was studying her, a way to make the ex-hyuga fall in his trap to complete his road willingly without forcing her or headaches
A sad smile placed on the hokage's lips as he realized the answer of his first question
She wanted to prove herself when everyone had already reached their victory she was still struggling in her spot for years now but how would he try to fix things? She had agreed to this marriage what right did he had to finish her suffering But to do as she please?
For the first time in years Kakashi actually fastened his steps towards the hyuga's mansion ignoring the argue to curse these fancy dinners.

Sasuke was surprised when his wife reached her hands with his to fix his outfit, he didn't resist instead he left his hands fell to his side watching her as she focused on what she had between her palms

she patted her hand one last time and fixed his collar looking at him her eyes searched for anything out of place so she would fix
Perfect they were both ready, Sasuke watched her turning around applying something on her lips it didn't change it colors but under the light it made her lips more luscious, glossy.
"Sasuke-san"
His eyes lifted up to hers changing his look to a frown and he could see fainted blush that faded fast when she turned guessing he had scared her Sasuke turned
"Let's go"

The eyes of the villagers were watching them, the mysterious couple walked ignoring all the gossips
Hinata looked forward to her husband's back walking ahead of her she had guessed this from the very beginning that she would their main gossips
She could hear whispers from every direction when she walked it made her nervous so she looked down
To her feet at least there was one thing thing she liked about him, she wouldn't bump into anyone
She was looking forward to the dinner she missed hanabi so much.
She was tired of her life with him
Wake up ,make breakfast, clean, and the only things she loved taking care of her flowers, take lunch to him, go back wait until dinner then sleep.
But at least there wouldn't any elders who would call her to remind her who she was and what she was.
'A failure'
Hinata bites on her lip as she remembered it all
And remembering that she would facing them was another thing she didn't think about she was too excited to see her younger sister, the only person she lov-
An hand brushed hers, pulling her out of her thoughts she looked to her right to see her husband holding her hand gently yet firmly and he wasn't nervous about it nor was he hesitated he acted as if this was something they do always but there was a frown in his face as if something inside his head bothered him and she acted same way when she held his too but what she didn't understand was why he tightened her hand shortly as if he was reassuring her but to what?
The hyuga's mansion came to sight and they stood waiting for the guards to open the door for them
Before they stepped inside her locked his arm with her whispering to her ears only
"Hinata"
She tensed
"It's Sasuke, no san"
She looked up to him to see that his frown had left his face and he pulled her inside with him to greet whoever they met in their way.

Sasuke was surprised to see the hokage seated there before them, he was always late making up nonsense excuses but he was there waving at them slightly when they came to seat themselves.
Sasuke nodded his head to his father-in-law who's eyes were fixed on a little behind, to the daughter of his ,he watched her every movement with these dull's eyes
Waiting for her to make a mistake, Sasuke averted his eyes to her she was trying to hide behind his shoulders looking to all the hyuga in the room most of them were old people Sasuke looked at each one of them all of their eyes were watching her like hawks and she was aware of it and they knew that she was and they enjoyed the shivering they sent to her hiashi cleared his throat as he spoke looking to the uchiha
"Haven't seen you in a while how are you?"
Sasuke saw the tiniest smile on the leader of the clan as he spoke to him like he was a father talking to his son
With nodding his head Sasuke answered
"I have been great thank you for your concern"
Those grey eyes drifted slightly behind Sasuke's shoulders changing that smile with a blank face and cold stare, even the hokage had noticed the tension in the room toward her.
"Hinata"
She almost jump at the mention of her name without looking up she answered
"H..hai"
Those grey eyes narrowed at her when he asked his question
"Are you doing well? I hope you're not slacking off with your duties"
Sasuke sat there watching those hands the same one that gently treated his injuries tightening into small balls more and more with every question she heard from every hyuga
It continued the humiliation for her and he just watch in silence he could see her chewing her lips her cheeks were reddish from embarrassment and he did nothing that until the hokage spoke smoothing the tension for her his voice came as patting hand on her shoulders
"Actually Hinata-chan had impressed the mizukage today in her recent mission with her team"
Kakashi's eyes turned towards hinata with a prideful smile
"They even sent a scroll to us mentioning her full name in it to thank her"
Kakashi grinned
"So thank you Hinata-chan for representing a good example of us there"
Sasuke watched her smile relieving her tensed features this hand that was tight balls had raised to move her hair behind her ear as she nodded shyly to his sensei this reddish cheeks were now colored by a lighter shade of red, peaceful one that showed her gratefulness to these words but her lips were glossy anymore she had swallowed whatever she applied on them and his eyes focused on a small stain of blood in her lips from her chewing the same frown he had before was back pulling his brows close while one thing was replying in her head

Hinata brushed her hair over her shoulders preparing herself to sleep, the dinner went awful to her and it made it worse that hanabi wasn't there he young sister was somewhere in the sand she remembered how her father spoke of her proudly over the dinner she was happy for her sister she loved her but was it necessary to attack her like that especially in front of him.
Hinata looked at the bathroom door tired to prevent her tears from rolling down
Hinata gasped when she heard the water stopped she moved to the bed and laid before he came out.
The room was already dark there was no need to shower again but he did, he washed away the tension that cling on him since he came from that dinner.
Replying the scene when his wife walked to the hokage before they separate
He watched from a far as she bowed to him multiple times, pushing his hair back Sasuke walked to the bed and laid turning to his left watching her back facing him she always chose that side which faced the window, he watched her shoulders raised and fell with her breath and as always Sasuke reached his hand to her shoulder
But she tensed!
She was awake he didn't expect that but he didn't lift his hand instead he spoke
"Didn't know that you were in a mission"
No response but didn't wait
"Should have told me we wouldn't attend the dinner"
At the mention of the dinner he saw her figure curled
And despite her attempts to shut her tears and cry silently he knows she was crying he silent sobs were loud enough to reach his ears, he didn't know what to do? If Kakashi was here what would he do?
His thoughts were blank
So he did whatever came to his thoughts he raised his hand to her hair caressing it gently to soothe her tears of her eyes.

How was he supposed to sleep now?
The ache in his chest was getting tighter with her sobs and he didn't like it not even one bit.
His stomach was going crazy too and he cursed hiashi and who were supposed to be her family millions times inside his head for making this!
Sasuke spent his night caressing her gently for who knows how long?
