Kakashi's words were the only thing he was thinking about that night kakashi lectured and spell facts about the hyuga before they went to the hyuga and sasuke listened not very carefully ,now he was in the middle of the night have nothing to do and sleep didn't cover his eyes so his thoughts drove him back and forth
Sasuke wasn't in love with the hyuga but she seemed the perfect one from all he knew to be his wife and mother of his kids she came from a big clan like his and raised in a place like his so of course she was raised like him, he thought proud of himself.
And despite all his excitement for reaching his goals there was thousands thoughts inside him, what if he made the wrong choice? Was it too fast?
Sasuke threw the blankets from over him, irritated and doubts were hunting him that night, he let the cold breeze reach his bare legs and chest to release all his worries
'Next week whatever day you pick will be your wedding day'
His head turned to the side looking at the empty space beside him and closed his eyes in few days someone would be there to share his bed with him to share his room and his life.
He would need to get used to it but he didn't mind this place was too big for one person, the uchiha compound wasn't as fancy as the hyuga's but it was huge for both of them, the last uchiha a smile appeared a year from now this place would have a sound and he wouldn't be the last uchiha he would have other uchiha starting from Hinata Uchiha.

'Spend more time with her and get to know her'
If that meant standing outside all the morning then it would be hard for him, sasuke kicked a rock that was close to his feet and raised his eyes up to the guards hoping that the hyuga would come out soon, he was welcomed with a glare from them but he didn't react it what better than taking her in front of their eyes with him?
Sasuke sighed his relief when she came out then bowed to the guards, now he understood why they were glaring at him, hinata walked towards him and bowed her head walking passed him to her path, Sasuke missed the smirk on the guard's face.
He walked with her to meet her team and she tried, she tried so hard to hide from his eyes when she knew he watching her from the corners of his dark eyes, she hid her face behind her bangs and closed her eyes shut, she hated attention.. she hated being watched it felt like her life wasn't in control but this person was the one controlling it.
"Oi" the only thing she heard before she was in his arms, looking up at him he wasn't looking down at her but back to the person she almost bumped into
Sasuke looked down at her with a frown in his eyes
He wanted to shout at her but he didn't want her to get the wrong idea about him... he wondered if it was really the wrong idea or not, before he does anything more hinata stood straight again fixing her bangs she walked again this time she looked forward a little bit she hated when her eyes met anyone's it was like they were judging her, like they had all the power to control her she hated that.
Sasuke sighed they finally reached the training ground he didn't wait for her to go inside he turned leaving her with her team

Kakashi wasn't that busy when Sasuke opened his door always without knocking he wasn't surprised either
"Anything you need? Sasuke"
The hokage spoke without looking back ,he was staring at the village through the glass
Sasuke was looking for an excuse besides "I'm bored" or "i came here to see you" he wasn't Sakura
Sasuke seated himself in one of the chair in front of the table when kakashi heard the sound of the chair kakashi looked back to his student then sit on his chair
"Or are you having doubts?"
Sasuke looked up as if he had been caught, then he denied the idea he stayed quiet without saying anything hesitated in what to talk about and he was grateful that he had a talkative sensei
"Well either way I'm glad you came"
That caught Sasuke's attention
"Why?"
The hokage crossed his arms leaning on them over the table
"Tomorrow is your first mission"
Sasuke felt a little excited but he would never show it to anyone
"You will escorting a team to the sand it's a simple mission for you but they're not you anyway you will watch over them"
Sasuke felt insulted why would he be chosen to do that simple mission and he didn't hesitate to ask or refused but his sensei never let him finish
"Sasuke, after the war do you think everyone is living in peace? There people who had attacked us when you were still in the prison and i won't risk a young shinobi" he could hear the worry in Kakashi's voice
So he nodded kakashi was doing what best for him and he was trying so hard for him so the least he could was obey to his order until he gets what he wanted

Sasuke walked to the street of konoha the sun was fading its light giving its last rays of colorful lights that painted the sky it was his favorite part of the day he remembered his moments whenever he thought about his clan, his family and his brother he used to set close to the river and watch the sun kissing the sky before its gifted its last colorful lights all over the sky, Sasuke looked up to the sky, remembering his family gave him a hint to remember her, his wife, Hinata.
Sasuke remembered that he should be picking her from the training ground his eyes fell to the people and he walked faster through the crowd to where she was supposed to be
(Idiot!)
He was an idiot who forgot he had a wife now, an idiot who decided to walk to his sensei and listened to him lecturing him about his life , As Sasuke struggled to walked in the crowd he spotted her team getting out of the ramen shop (so she had left) he headed towards them to ask about her but she appeared from behind them and so he stopped watching her smiling to her team as she waved to them, this was his first time to see her like that, this was his first time to see her true smile,
She always faked it with that tiny smile, her smiles never reached her eyes but it had now, it traveled through her features until her eyes smiled.
Hinata drifted her eyes to her scarf on her arm then wrapped it around her neck then hid her face behind it, it took her a minute to go back to the hinata he knew, the one with blank face and dark features and the one with tiny smile, Sasuke furrowed his eyes as he watched her walk and bumping into all the people in her way, he hated that his wife was looking down to her feet and walk like she was blind, she have a byakugan too. Why would she look down? Why would she bumped too much?
He didn't know when did he moved from his spot or when did he reached for her? All he knows that he was grabbing her elbow, he didn't realize his action until he was staring with wide grey eyes, they held fear inside them why? She was looking at him as if he caught her doing something horrible as if she was running away from a murder, he held into her gaze her eyes shined with the reflection of the lights the tears danced inside her eyes threatening her to break down in front of the only person she was trying to avoid why was she tearing? It was the sudden attention she got, she was afraid that she had ran into someone she knew and they would force her to have dinner again she almost threw up
Sasuke spoke first when he pulled her behind him
"Walk with me" he said,
but he left her behind him she didn't want to look at anyone's eyes she wanted to go home fast and hide under her blankets, she thought of her blankets then her gaze raised to the person in front of her after a week she would be sharing her precious blankets with this stranger who she knows nothing about, her father had told her to be a good wife like her mother but her mother loved her father.
And she didn't love this person, her eyes found her feet again the evening was already spreading its darkness over the village but she didn't find it scary, she loved the darkness and the quietness of the night she loved a lot of things people didn't like and she wondered if this person was going to accept her as she was.
She didn't have a choice nor did he, he signed his fate when he signed that paper, the traces of that day never left her she was still shocked and sad with her fate that the uchiha and her father chose for her.
(Be more responsible and try to be useful to your clan)
She had told herself that and she still thinks she had to do that but she never thought that the uchiha would signed it without a second thought, hinata looked up to her husband his back he never looked back his steps were slow trying to make her stand by his side she didn't, whenever he slowed she would slow too and he was afraid that he might forget that she was behind him and he would go home, he need to be nice to her he wanted her accept him so he could see his children as soon as possible.
He smiled at the idea, next year he would be carrying a baby with him and walked his baby around the village and year by year there would another one until they could form a huge clan like before, he wanted to live to that day to see the villagers walk around and see a dozens of uchiha walking around the village his thought was interrupted when he heard someone calling his name from a distance he glared forward to see her struggle to reach him through the sea of people and he wished that they would swallow her until he faded but this was Haruno Sakura she could break this sea of people by one of her punches, he didn't say anything as she reached him
"Sasuke-kun have you had dinner yet?"
It was a time for a dinner but he didn't want to have it with her so he lied
"Ah"
To his disappointment she didn't gave up but she did more Sakura held his arm by both of hers and looked up to him
"Then how about we go and drink some tea together?"
Sasuke's eyes widened
'She loves the tea'
And then without warning Sasuke snatched his arm from Sakura's hard and glared down at her growling at her for grabbing his arm in front of his wi—
He looked back but no one was there only the villagers his eyes scanned them all but she wasn't there his head turned to the other side where they were supposed to walk until Sakura came and searched through the people his eyes narrowed to focus on his attempts to find her instead of listening to sakura
"Sasuke-kun are you looking for someo—"
He shushed her by holding his finger to his lips, and there she was he recognized her back as she walked away avoiding any contact with anyone looking down making her way to her home.
Sasuke stared at her small figure as it faded behind many people's back with every step she took, for some reason he wanted to follow her to wherever she is going, but his feet felt heavy as if they were chained to the ground underneath him without taking a step

Sasuke laid on his back looking at the ceiling, only one thought was running inside his head
Hinata Hyuga
How was he supposed to work things with her? How was going to make her comfortable enough to agree to be beneath him in their first week? He didn't want to force her he wanted her to welcome him with pleasure, but how was he going to do that?
The look of her back when she left without him noticing gave him no hope, it was pulling the wall of his dreams  and hopes down, he thought of her planning his life with her from now without knowing the future, Sasuke threw the blankets from over his body again and he sighed he hates sighing it meant that he was in a hard situation and all of this because of who

he imagined her walking by his side after a week ,they would kiss and share smiles with everyone they knew he would have to welcome her inside the uchiha compound as his wife what would his mother react if she was alive?
A smile would spread on her beautiful face her dark eyes would shine with happiness his father would lecture him to be a good husband to her and he would welcome it, What would itachi do?
Sasuke closed his eyes picturing his brother on his side smiling and teasing him and the picture got bigger and bigger until it was fitting for both the hyuga and uchiha inside it what a perfect match.

Sasuke stood over the trees hiding in the shadows as he waited for the team to come he was a little too early, but that was the point he didn't want anyone to notice him he was an anbu after all he was supposed to be hidden from the eyes.
Sasuke was leaning over the tree when he heard the steps of the first person who came, sasuke peeked down at the person and when he realized who it was he almost jumped down.
The hyuga was down there carrying a big backpack he wasn't used to call her his wife yet ,she stood there for a minute and looked around then  stopped he looked to where she was looking wondering why she stood suddenly then her eyes searched the place
Until she walked to a rock under his tree, hinata laid over it letting the sunlight crossing her face she was crazy what if
he wanted to tell her to stay under the tree, that she would have a fever but his presence had to be unseen so he Settled on watching her.
She looked tired and they even haven't started yet, but she looked as if she came back from a mission
Sasuke watched the other person came walking on his toes towards her he expected him to scream and scare her but the blonde boy stared at her but she never opened her eyes, Ryu's hand reached her hair he ran his fingers over it, soft... so soft that he didn't feel it on his hand, Sasuke watched the boy bring her hair towards his face then he inhaled the scent of her , Sasuke was watching from above trying to reason the uneasiness he felt when the boy showed up
"Ryu"
Both males were startled when she spoke, hinata opened her eyes and looked to her right where Ryu was standing
"What are you doing?" She asked him watching the change of features on his face.
Sasuke smirked from up the trees when she scared the boy, he felt proud for no reason but why was she smiling didn't she knew yet?
"Eh.. i was.. a bug!"
Hinata's eyes looked at her student confused was there really a bug??
"Eh" her hand reached her hair afraid that she might touch the bug
"I have thrown it away" he spoke louder than he intended when he saw her hand patting her head.
"Hinata-sensei" the only female of her team waved and behind her stood the quiet one
"Oi ken ,ren you both late" Ryu pointed at the two with a frown on his face and Ken ignored him but ren couldn't "gomensai, it's all my fault i was late and ken had to wait for me"
hinata noticed how ken spread his arm holding Ren's shoulders as a protection for her from getting all the blame and she smiled
"It's ok let's go"

Sasuke settled in one of the trees again, he understood why Kakashi chose the trees to hide in, it was quite peaceful up there.
Sasuke looked down to the team who was getting ready to camp when they saw the sun starting to set
The purple hair guy and the red hair girl chose to go and father some woods to the fire while the blonde one and hinata stayed get things ready and rest, he was supposed to follow the other because he needed to watch the younger but he sat over the tree and watched her instead, no reason behind it he wanted to know everything about her.
Sasuke sighed and rested his head back when they were gathering around the fire, hinata took out lunck boxes from her bag and handed it to her students.
"Thank you hinata-sensei"
"Thanks"
"Yoshaaa, hinata-Sensei's cooking!!"
Sasuke glared down, if there were any bandits around they would find them easily with all that noise, how could she handle them everyday? but she was smiling as she watched them ate
"Hinata-sensei where is yours?" The girl asked as she putted down her chopsticks.
"I'm full" and they believed her, her lies were obvious how did they believed her? Sasuke rolled his eyes resting his head back again and closed his eyes

Shikamaru was a man who thinks of the people close to him more than himself he was aware of his surroundings, he knows that lee have train more than before as a respect for his sensei's sacrifice, he knows about the promise sakura made that she would never fall for the uchiha again, he knows that hinata couldn't visit Neji's grave because of her guilt he knows that choji visits his teammates fathers every week and he knows that Ino always come to stay with his mother whenever he got out of work late that why he wasn't surprised to see her walking out of his house bowing her last bow to his mother
Shikamaru waited for his mother to shut the door and when she did he walked behind ino quietly he didn't call for her, he did as he always do walking her home secretly.
Then walked back to his home
"I'm back"
He heard his mother called from inside
"Welcome back"
He was grateful for hearing her voice inside it was as a reminder that she was there for him and this place had a life inside it, but he wasn't used to her steps loud and fast when she ran to him
"Neh Shikamaru look what ino brought?"
His mother dragged him to where they always ate and pointed to the middle of the table
There was huge vase holding different kind and colors of flowers the scent was spreading on the room and he inhaled it deep letting the scent take away all the stress from the work
"She actually brought it to you but I really like it"
Shikamaru smiled as he looked again to the vase of flowers

Sasuke was lost in his thoughts when he heard someone's steps, his eyes opened wide looking down to the person...it was her again, hinata hyuga, his wife.
She was walking away from their small tent he looked back to their place everyone was inside their tent he didn't know if they were sleep or not but he followed her to where she was heading, what if she wanted to pee?
Sasuke looked down at her as if he was going to know the answer of his question,
(does girls pee when they're in missions?) he thought that was strange, he doesn't remember Sakura or karin asked to pee or something, but if they had to how do they do it?
He asked a question as if he was 5 years old kid asking where do babies come from?
His thoughts were stopped when she stopped and looked around, was she going to do it there?
He felt hesitated about staying there or leaving what should he do but in the middle of his struggling Sasuke almost fell when her head turned to his direction, to his spot exactly her eyes meeting his despite all the leaves surrounding him and the shadow that covered his body they were in the night and yet she met his eyes then left something small he didn't know what it was her eyes looked at him one last time before she went back to the tent.
Sasuke knew that she meant for him to take whatever she left but he hesitated what if it was some kind of trick to do something to him, but his curiosity got the best of him and he landed taking whatever it was and walked out of the trees to the light of the moon and he opened it slowly revealing what she left for him.
Sasuke lived 20 years of his life and he had never been more embarrassed than this time
There inside the dark box was a meal that was wrapped by this dark fabric
'I'm full'
Sasuke felt his face heated by embarrassment but along with this embarrassment He felt something small but then this small feeling hovered over his embarrassment making his eyes to look up to where hinata left.

Hinata didn't feel that she was tired when they were in the mission but when they came back to the village she felt how tired they just came out of the hokage's building after they reported and she bowed to her team as they walked different paths, she walked heading to her home as the orange color shined in the sky a sign to the of the day.
Hinata sighed as she walked through the darkest and emptiest hallway through konoha to reach her house
Hinata's steps slowed when she heard someone jumping behind her but she didn't turn she didn't even look back when she heard that person's fasten their steps and she didn't react when that person reached her hand and held it leading her to her home because after all he is her husband.
