Days passed smoothly. After that concert, I came back for what really the world means to me... school and the coming evaluation plus the finals.
I saw Patrick coming towards my place with his serious face again. At some gatherings I still saw their parents, I think, the last time I encountered them was when I am with Papa attending Ahma's 80th birthday. After that ay wala na.
"Nagka-usap kayo ni Kael?" Patrick grabbed the chair with him and sat down in my front.
I shook my head and pursed my lips. "We don't need to talk. We both okay and..." I finished the statement by shrugging my shoulders off.
I heard him sighed and look around before giving me back his attention. "I'm sorry about my Mom's reaction as well as what she has said to you on our graduation.
I closed my parted lips because of shock and eventually I forced a smile at him. Patrick is a good guy. Sometimes he just looked unpleasant whenever you talk to him but God knows how cool he is.
Shan entered the room with her friends and her eyes immediately darted on us. Her brows furrowed watching Patrick talking to me intently. I was about to speak when Patrick gave her an assuring smile, she then looked at me and winked.
I don't know what are they however they look good together.
"For sure he's living with his fiancé, Pat..." I said almost whispered.
"Kailangan mo siyang kausapin, Lyk. He will be flying back to States."
Patrick's words what lingered on my mind for days now!
"Mali 'yan! Probably, they are Engineering students na nag-ca-cramming sa AutoCAD.
"Ah!
Kahit ilang beses pa tayong magreklamo at mag-rants sa hirap ng pinapagawa sa atin, in the end, we just caught ourselves still doing our projects para pumasa.
"Oh, Maquiling?
I didn't speak either I stay calm as I looked at her emotionless. She surveyed my body insultingly from head to toe as she smirked at me.
"Kaya pala ang tapang-tapang mo pa rin ano?" she said as she starts walking closer to where I was standing.
I looked at her friends and see they're watching us enjoyingly.
I look at her dramatically and chuckled sweetly. "How was your sister's schooling by the way? Did she find another school to accept her attitude and a bad habit of records?" I raised my brow.
