I'm back with another Delia one cuz she's adorable and because I can.
if confusion sets in it will make sense in the end.

Every witch will tell you that when a new supreme rises the old has to fall. Cordelia was the current supreme and the best one the coven has had in a long time. There wasn't an attack since she took power and matters into her own hands. On the other hand, Delia was the love of your life, she would say the same about you. So seeing her slowly fade away, and in more pain day by day broke you into a million little pieces. Some days she would barely get out of bed, and others she'd be the more energetic then a child on a sugar high. This only meant that her time was coming soon. You made sure to comfort her durning her lows by smiling as much as you could and cuddling at night. Even though it hurt you it made her feel better. That's all that mattered.

You woke up in the middle of the night, to Delia's breathing get slower and raspy. You kissed her forehead and brought her body close to yours. "Dont leave me yet. I'm not ready to let you go." You cooed into her ear. Your tears fell onto the cheek of the woman you promised to keep safe, happy, the one you promised to love the most. But your promises were like individual hour glass. With each minute of each day, the hour glasses more sand from the would fall to the bottom causing it to be more empty at the top,
When it was empty, you couldn't make her laugh when she was upset You couldn't tell her you loved her while staring into those chocolate brown eyes. You couldn't cuddle and watch movies like you loved to do. You couldn't make sure that she was okay at the end of the day because soon there will be a day that is her last.

You covered Cordelia back up noticing that she had gotten colder. Few more grains of sand at the bottom. You put your feet on the wooden floor and made your way to the kitchen. When you got the the last step on the stair case you noticed the kitchen light was on. "Hello dear" The frizzy red haired witch greeted you. "Mytle? Why are you up?" She had sarrow in her eyes. "I couldn't stop thinking about that poor girl. She hasn't got much time left in her." She noticed you tearing up and pulled you into a hug. "I'm not ready." You said sniffing. "I know honey. I don't think she's ready to leave you either." You and Myrtle talked for a moment when you heard faint cries of your name. "Y/n? Where- are you?" You ran to the stairs. Cordelia was standing there with a tear stained face. Durning these times she didnt want to be alone. Her biggest fear was dying alone and unloved. "Shh it's okay sweetheart I'm right here." You pulled her in for a hug and a kiss. "You know I dont want you to leave me." She cried. "I know I'm sorry. Let's get go back to bed." You put your hand on Cordelia's back to support her while going back upstairs. Midway up you glanced back at Myrtle who seemed to be taking the while situation just as bad as you.

Back in the bedroom, you covered Delia back up as you laid next to her stroking her cheek with the pad of your thumb. "Y/n, I'm tired." You knew exactly what kind of tired she meant. She was tired of fighting the urge to just go... you were her only reason of staying awake. More sand falls to the bottom. "I'm afraid to close my eyes." Tears fell down both of your cheeks. To be honest you were afraid for her close them too. You didnt know when her last breath would be. There was no way for you to prepare yourself for a loss that would completely destroy you forever. "I'm afraid too Dee." Her eyes got heavier. "Go to sleep love. I'll be right here you wake up." It felt like your personal hell. There was no escaping the dark. It was just going to get worse. You pulled her in closer. "What if I don-" "Delia. Dont you dare loose hope on me now. That's not who you are." "I love you y/n, dont forget that." She whispered in a raspy tone. "I love you too Cordelia Goode." The two of you fell asleep in eachother arms.

The next morning you awoken to the feeling of nobody next to you. You opened your eyes to see Cordelia sitting on the edge of the bed. She looked grayer then last night, the bones in her face where more visible.
More and more sand. "See I told you that you'd wake up." Cordelia gave a faint smile. Another one of the things you would miss about her. Cordelia's smile could light up a room, even just a little smirk. It was one of the things that brought you peace at the end of each day. "I dont have anything left in me. Y/n, any min-" "please, dont say it. I know you are only here for my sake." She kissed your forehead softly. At this point the only thing she used her energy for was you. You were her home. Her safe place. Her little rainbow of hope after a storm. "When I'm gone, promise me that you will find a happiness. I'll be here with you everyday watching over you. I made a promise that I wouldn't leave you. I'm keeping that promise until the day we meet again. Okay?" She coughed out. You both were a mess of sobs. "I promise. Thank you Cordelia." "For what sweetheart?" She looked at you with tears, loss, and pain in her eyes as she laid back on the bed. "For taking me in. For being there at my lows. For loving me when I thought nobody would." More sand falls to the bottom of the glass. "There are not enough thank yous and I love yous in the word to tell you how I really feel." Cordelia had no energy left in her body to tell you I love you one last time. She took her hand in yours and let out a long sigh. The fear in your eyes didnt go unnoticed by Cordelia. "Its okay love. Dont be afraid. You can go. I'll be fine." Cordelia closed her eyes with a last breath of relief.
All the sand from the top of the hour glass was settled at the bottom. You laid your head on your joined hands.

"Y/n. I know you can hear me love." A voice came from above. "Follow my voice, we are here waiting for you."

You gasped for air, opening your eyes. You were laying on the wooden floor in Cordelia's warm embrace. "You passed sweetheart. You passed the test. I thought I lost you forever."
You stayed there froze in her arms. You looked around the room. An hourglass with an empty top half was sitting on the table.

"Y/n...you are the next supreme."
