Note- I'm sorry

Cordelia was going to die today.
I woke up and it was dark and rainy. She was having difficulty getting on her feet, even with my help. A little slip...she'd fall. I tried to pick her up, but she didn't have the strength to hold on. Her body was failing her.
She couldn't look me in the eye without being ashamed of herself. All these years she had built herself to be this strong woman. Nothing could knock her down. Until nature's course that is.
Cordelia was fading.
She spent her final moments with her hand resting in mine. Her mouth curved a weakish smile of serenity and her eyes had glowing flashes of life. It was very subtle, but I could tell. It had been the first time in months she genuinely smiled.
Five years ago Cordelia took in a girl with a missing piece. A piece that could only be seen by the one who had enough love and talent to fix her. Cordelia had fixed me. She put me back together with her blonde locks and whiskey eyes. She saw my good and my bad, it was now my turn to see hers. Yet, in the end only one of us would make it out of it all.
Life is made of changing patterns. Physical forms change but the patterns continue. Cordelia never got to ask you on a date or got the chance to have that family with you that she secretly longed for. Yet, she made it here... in the palm of your hand and thousands of hearts and lives in which she changed for the better.
A recurring butterfly pattern. Alive in mind.
