Wilhemina sat there holding you in her arms. Everyone except you was supposed to die because nobody else mattered to her, but you did. "Y/n, little one please don't leave." She cried into your frame.
As she lost everything she felt a pain inside her like no other.
Michael had poisoned an extra apple to kill you off as well. He wanted to see Wilhemina at her lowest most vulnerable point it was easier to hurt her that way.
"What the hell have you done?!" She yelled at Michael who was watching from the stairs. "I wanted to watch you hurt. I wanted to watch you die alone." Him and Ms. Mead walk out of the outpost leaving Mina very little time before a toxic gas swept in and took over her body.
A warm hand laid on Wilhemina's shoulder. She looked up at the being with tears building up in her eyes threatening to fall at any said moment. "Do you really think that I'd ever leave you?" She looked at the body in her arms then back at the person who seemed to be glowing slightly. "Y/n?" She got up from the floor gently laying your body back on the ground. You took her hand in yours, "how can this be?" The tears landed on her fair cheeks as you wiped them away with your thumb. " I always told you I'd never leave you." You let go of her hand walking over to the radio and turned it on. "You haven't got much time left my love. Dance with me one last time." Holding each other close you moved slowly to the music.
This brought you back to when the two of you would stay up late while everyone was asleep and dance to the same repeated song that played every day and night until your hearts were content. Wilhemina had always had a hard time giving or receiving love in any shape that it came in. But when you arrived at the outpost, the first time she laid eyes on you she felt a warm feeling in her heart. Mina quickly grew a soft spot for you. Michael could see her affection towards you in her eyes, making his plan to destroy her much easier then he expected.
Mina brought her head up from the crook of your neck bringing you out of your thoughts. She cupped her hands around your face kissing you sweetly. You could see the fear and pain in her eyes as the air got heavier. You brought her down the the floor laying there keeping her hand in your own. "Don't be scared. I'll be right here when you come back." You assured her without breaking eye contact. She started to cough, breathing got weaker, and her eyes got heavy as the air in the room got thicker. "Close your eyes. It's alright." You stroked her cheek. With that she drifted off into a deep sleep lasting forever. You laid your head on her chest. What if she doesn't come back? What if she's gone forever? You thought. As your brain clouded your body with what if's, soft sobs left your state.
A warm hand rubbed your back "shh little one, I'm right here." Looking above you, there she was hovering over you with a smile that would last forever. She took you in her arms. All the pain you both encountered in your life times was finally gone. A weight that felt like tons was lifted off your shoulders, nothing could hurt either one of you anymore. This is how it was meant to be in the end.
