Becoming A Pirate

Chapter 5

The sun was in my eyes and I heard voices.

 "Captain, I think she's waking up." I opened my eyes, and when I did I saw Captain Townsend, and the two other pirates from the captains chamber in front of me.

 "You're awake good." Captain Townsend said to me. I looked down at my hands and my hands were tied with rope. I had no idea where I was. 

I had so many questions. What happened? Where is Philip? Am I still on the HMS Dauntless and why are there pirates right in front of me? I was so confused and I wanted answers.

I then looked up at captain Townsend and asked "where am I?" I felt tired and stressed at the same time even though I already slept.

 "Welcome aboard The Black Doom" captain Townsend said. "You'll be staying here a while so get comfortable." 

The Black Doom! I was ready to freak out was not just on any ship I was on a pirate ship. It was not just any pirates ship it was captain Townsend's.

 "Marty, untie her let's give our guest a tour" the pirate nodded his head "aye captain." He untied me and I got up.

"Why am I here? Why didn't you just kill me?" I didn't understand why I was here. "I need ye to read the map, that why ye here." It still didn't make sense. "Why didn't you just kill me and use the map yourself why use me instead? "

I didn't understand why I needed to be here. "If I were to kill you the whole Royal Navy would be on my tail, and I don't need that." He was right in some way I am the daughter of a captain or at least I was. 

"Won't they blame you for killing my father?" I asked him surely admiral Williams wouldn't take the blame. "No, they were already looking for your father technically he had stolen from the Royal Navy, and went against them so even that Admiral Williams won't be in trouble for killing him."

This can't be true father died and no one even cared. I wanted revenge on admiral Williams he should pay for what he did! 

"Fine I'll help you only because I don't want admiral Williams to win." Captain Townsend just smiled at me "then we have an accord." He put out his hand so that we could shake hands. I hesitated, but then shaked his hand.

 I didn't think I would resort to helping pirates, but I would rather help a pirate then let admiral Williams get what he wants. Townsend showed me around the ship. He then took me to the captains chamber part of the ship.

 "You can sleep there." I am to sleep in the captains chamber? What is he thinking. 

"Shouldn't I just sleep with the rest of the crew?" I was confused on why he would want me to sleep in the captains chamber.

"You're welcome to if you want, but I'm sure you'll be more comfortable here." I looked at captain Townsend I still didn't trust him he is a pirate after all. "Thank you, Townsend. Wait what happened to my friend the one that was protecting me?"

 I remembered that they had knocked out Philip while he was protecting me. "Who? Oh don't you worry dear your boyfriend is fine." I looked at him annoyed "How do I not know you didn't kill him?" 

I put my hands on my hips to show him I was not pleased, and don't plan to play this little game of his. "Don't you worry dear I assure you he ain't dead, and I did not kill him me mates put him near the longboats."

 I put my hands down, and looked at him with a unpleasant face. "What if they found him and killed him! That would be your fault."

"Relax, I'm sure that admiral was more concerned that I destroyed their ship, and would be too busy looking for me to care about ye friend." I had no choice, but to agree as all admiral Williams cared about was the map, and the ring of immortality. He killed my father over it. 

I walked out of the room with captain Townsend. He gestured his hand for me to go to the helm where I saw the two pirates from the HMS Dauntless. "I'm sure ye know these two, they me first mates." 

They both looked at me and smiled I could see their yellow teeth. "They can be stupid at times, but they help out so they are good to have around." They stopped smiling. 

"Hello, miss me name is Marty and this here be Dax." I just stared at them, and didn't say anything. "If ye need anything at all miss we will be glad to help ye as it is what the captain' ordered." This time I just smiled at them.

 "They are the ones who brought you here so you'll be seeing them a lot, now come." I stood beside captain Townsend as he took the helm. 

I looked at Marty And Dax, they were the ones who hurt Philip, and kidnapped me. I didn't fully trust them, but I was still polite to them.

Captain Townsend pulled out the map. "Ye can read a map right?" He asked me.

 "Yes, in fact I can read a whole lot more than a map I am not illiterate like you Townsend." He looked at me as if he was annoyed.

 "Here read this and give me a heading, don't try anything cause I will keep you in the brig if I have to." 

I yanked the map from him, and looked at it. It truly was a pirates map. "We are to go North we will have to go through the isle of mist." He looked at me as if he thought I was lying.

 "Ye better not be lying, Marty, Dax set the sails we be going North our next destination  is the isle of mist."
