Becoming A Pirate

Chapter 19

"You are going to kill me?" Admiral Williams asked as he scoffed.

"Aye, ye heard right." Townsend replied back to him. Admiral Williams just started to laugh at him after that.

"Do you think I'm joking?" Townsend asked him. Admiral Williams stopped laughing, and walked closer towards Townsend.

"You think you can kill me? I am an Admiral for the Royal Navy." Townsend then took a step closer as well. "I'm not scared of the Royal Navy, mate the Royal Navy is scared of me, and I'm pretty you also be on the run since you did kill a man for a map."

I felt like Townsend knew a lot about what was happening. I wondered why I never asked him if he knew anything I just assumed he didn't, but now I know that he did.

"You killed a Royal Navy captain, because you wanted the map that leads to ring of immorality I'm pretty sure that you, and him weren't supposed to keep the map were ye."

Townsend then took another step closer, and so did Williams. "What do you know pirate?" Asked Williams.

"I know a lot more than you think." Townsend responded.

"Wait! is anyone going to tell what is going on!" I screamed. "I deserve to know why my father died."

Williams then continued to step closer, and he was now standing in front of Townsend. "Come closer dear." Williams said with an unsettling smile. I know Townsend told me to stay back, but I couldn't I needed answers.

I took out my sword, and walked over to where Townsend was. I put my sword towards Admiral Williams. "Tell me everything now." I said with a stern tone.

I needed to know what happened to my father. "Well, if you insist." He said.

"I ordered your father to do a secret mission for me, and it was to find the map to treasure cove." I turned over to look Townsend who looked me with the don't do anything stupid face. I then turned back to look at Williams. "So, what happened next?"

I wasn't asking anymore I was demanding him to tell me. "He found the map while he was out on a voyage he saw a suspicious ship and stopped them, turns out they were pirates, and it wasn't just any pirate ship it was a certain Captain Henry Townsend's ship.

Townsend? Father stole from him. I turned to Townsend "is it true?." I asked him. "Ye, it be true." He said like it wasn't a big deal.

I turned back to face Admiral Williams. "So what, father kept the map from you, and when you found out you decided you could kill him?" Williams smiled. "Pretty much, this is the ring of immortality we are talking about."

I just couldn't believe what I was hearing I was shocked. I felt like I couldn't breathe. "Ye, forgot one detail" Townsend said interrupting us "that after hearing about me having the map the governor wanted his hands on the map, so ye decided to steal me map from me."

Williams was mad that Townsend had mentioned that. "That map was to be for me, only me and your father was a thief who stole it he deserved to die."

Williams then grabbed his sword out, and started to swing it at me I blocked him, "My father was no thief, but you are the most evilest and greediest man in the world." I said to Williams with no fear. I wasn't afraid of him, I hated him for having killed my father.

We then started to swing our swords at each other back and forth. I noticed that the rest of the soldiers and pirates grabbed their swords out while me and Williams were fighting. I saw Townsend started to defend any solider that tried to get close to me.

I even saw Philp fighting along side Townsend to make sure that the soldiers couldn't help Williams. I was upset at him before, but I was thankful that even though we weren't on good terms he was still a good friend.

We kept swinging our swords back and froth for a while until Williams cornered me, I did my best to block him, but he pushed the sword out of my hand. I was cornered, and didn't know what to do.

"Tell your father I say hi." He said to me. I closed my eyes, I thought I was going to die I was cornered with no weapon.

"CLANG" I heard the sound of a sword. I opened my eyes. It was Townsend he was blocking Williams sword. He gave me his other hand, I grabbed it and good behind him.

"I told you I was going to kill you didn't I?" Townsend said to Williams with a smirk. I then quickly got up, and decided to look for my sword.

I looked around where I had dropped it and found it. I looked around me, and I saw all the pirates fighting with Royal Navy soldiers. I spotted my sword, grabbed it and put it on my harness.

I thought now would be a great time me to look for the ring of immortality. The only way to stop all this was to destroy it. Now that I really thought about it maybe this is why Townsend wanted to destroy it in the first place.

It makes people greedy, and evil. This is how I will get my revenge I will find the ring of immortality, and destroy it. This is how I will avenge fathers death. I will destroy the one thing that Admiral Williams wants.

I quickly started going through chests. Just looking for the ring of immortality it wouldn't be hard as it looks different from any other ring. It's sliver, but has a green gem on it, or at least that's what the legend says, and right now the legend is all I have to go off of.

I went through every chest I could find I looked in depth through all the chests I even saw the chest that the ring I saw earlier was in. I didn't look at that chest though as I had looked at it earlier, and there wasn't much in it.

I knew that it couldn't have been where the ring was. Then I saw it the last, and only chest that I had not looked through. It was a black chest with a bunch of markings, and drawings on it. It had to be this one.

As soon as I opened it a bunch of treasure spilled out. I looked around to make sure no one noticed. I sighed out of relief that no one noticed I still heard the sound of swords clashing together and men yelling.

I saw a few Navy soldiers on the ground some were dead, and some were wounded. I quickly dug through the treasure in the chest, and looked for the ring.

Eventually I saw some jewelry, so I tried my best to dump most of the treasure out of the chest. It like some one wanted to hide the ring.

Then I saw it the ring of immortality the green gem was glowing. It was a a beautiful ring, I looked for a pouch, and put the ring in it.

I then ran up to Townsend. "I need your gun." I whispered to him. "Why?" He asked me looking confused "to destroy the ring" I said to him.

As he was still fighting with Williams he got his gun and tossed it away from them. "Thank you." I mouthed to him. I went to pick up the gun.

"Where do you think you're going with that?" I heard Williams say behind me. He must of catched on. I turned around, and I saw him with sword against Townsend's neck.

"Give me the ring and he lives." He said I felt stuck, like I had no other options. I wasn't going to let him stop me, not now I've come too far to give up now.

"No, I wont give you the ring, even if it means that I will have to kill you I won't let you touch this ring no matter what."
