Becoming A Pirate

Chapter 15

It is almost time, time to finally reach treasure cove. I would once again face Admiral Williams. I woke up from my great rest. I think that was the most sleep I had gotten since this adventure. I checked on my clothes, but they were still wet.

Oh well I did see some boots though and thought to put them on since that was all that I could wear. I then also put on a harness that I found in the closet.

"This might come in handy. I put it around me and made sure I had a gun, and sword on it. Now it was time. Time to face Admiral Williams once and for all.

I came out of my room, and left the captains chambers. I felt the beautiful morning breeze on my face. The ocean just looked as beautiful as ever. Just looking at the view, and feeling this breeze reminded me of my father.

It was my time to get revenge on admiral Williams for killing my father. "I see you are prepared." Townsend said as he walked up to me.

"Well yes Admiral Williams will have probably catched up by now." I had to be prepared no matter what. Even if this is my first, and last battle I don't care. I will avenge my father as I have nothing to loose now.

We had been sailing on the sea for a few hours now. I took out the map to see if we were anyway close to treasure cove. I opened the map it looked like we would be there soon.

"Don't worry Eliza we'll be there soon." I heard Philip say. I looked up at Philip. He surprised me as I thought Captain Townsend was standing bedside me not too long ago "I know I just wanted to see how far."

I looked around, and noticed that captain Townsend was no longer around, and that he was at the helm. How did he even get there so fast I thought.

"What is it?" Philip asked me as I was looking around. I then reverted my eyes to the map. "It's nothing" I said to Philip as I put my map away. "Eliza what is it?, You're acting odd."

"Everything's fine really" I replied to Philip. "Here take my map." I said as I have him my map. I wanted to just get to treasure cove already. I had a mix of emotions. I was a bit scared to face Admiral Williams again, but at the same time I wasn't because this time I knew things would be different.

"Land ho." I heard someone scream. "Land ho." I heard again. I turned to look at the helm, and it was Dax letting the crew know that we were approaching land. The crew was getting the longboats ready so that we could get to land.

"Get ready Ms. Lockhart the journey isn't over just yet." Townsend whispered as passed by me. I turned around, and he was checking on the crew.

"Hurry up you scallywag's we don't have all day, we got the Royal Navy on our tail." Townsend screamed at the crew so that they could get their job done faster.

I was still wondering how Captain Townsend moves from place so fast. I had just noticed that Captain Townsend didn't have his coat on. I had forgot to return his coat to him earlier.

"Eliza I have something to show you before we go." someone said coming from behind me. I thought it was Philp, and turned around. "What is it" I asked him.

"You'll see" he said. I then followed Philip to my room. "Philip what are we doing here? I asked before we entered my room.

"come in and check for yourself." I looked at him with a confused face, but did as he said, and entered my room.

That's when I show some garments of clothing laid out on my bed. They looked like they were old.

"Why is this here?" I asked Philip. "Well since your garments got wet I decided to put together some new ones for you. Although I did have to compromise since I only found old ones."

I turned around to look at Philip, "thank you for doing this. It may not be the best, but at least it's something."

Philp smiled "I just thought it was what you needed as you only had your dress." Philip explained.

"Well thank you Philip, you're the only person that I know that would do something like this for me. You're very thoughtful." Philip then smiled again, and before he left the room he whispered something to me.

"That's because I'm in love with you." I was so shocked by what he said I couldn't move or speak. I just stood there as if I was a statue.

"Sorry, I must've startled  you with what I said. It's just I've been wanting I tell you how I felt for a while." I didn't reply to him as I was still processing what he had just said to me.

"Well I'll leave you now, we can talk later at a better time." Philip then closed the door and left the room. I didn't know what to think I just had so many questions.

Philip is in love with me!? Since when? How? I felt like my head was spinning. I thought to myself what am I to do now?

I didn't want this to be real because I liked how everything is right now, and I don't know how to tell him that I have the same feelings he has, expect the feelings I have are not for him, but someone else.
