We are finally getting closer to the isle of mist. We can already see some mist in the air. It is dark the only light we have is on the ship.
"We be close captain" Marty said. Captain Townsend didn't reply. I was just hoping we could make it out of the isle of mist alive. There are many tales about it.
"Sir, are you sure there's no other way to get to the treasure?" asked Dax. "Are you afraid mate." Captain Townsend asked him.
Dax gulped "N-no captain n-not a-at all." Captain Townsend just laughed. "Listen here mate we'll make it not all the tales ye be hearing are true." Dax seemed a little bit more relived after he heard that.
Soon enough we entered the isle of mist. It was dark, and hard to see anything because of the mist. There are tales about the isle, many don't make it out alive presumably.
The tale says that if you go through the isle you're lucky to make it out alive. The ghosts of past pirates lie here, and try to rock any ship that passes through. It is said that the ghost pirates that lurk in the mist are pirates that died while trying to pass through.
I didn't believe such foolishness. It seemed neither did captain Townsend as he looked confident standing next to the helm.
It was quiet and there was fog all around us now. The water sounded calm I felt like we were safe. I decided to sit on the steps near the helm, and try to open the map I took out my compass.
That is when the ship picked up speed. I fell on off the steps and on to the floor. I dropped the map, and compass which was in my hand. I then saw a hand reaching out to me.
I looked up and it was Captain Townsend's hand. I reached for it, and he helped me up. "The map" I said to him pointing to where it had fallen on the floor.
The ship once again picked up speed, and I fell and slid across the ships deck. I didn't see where Captain Townsend had gone. It was dark, and because of the mist I couldn't see anything.
That's when I saw the map it was near the steps that led below deck to where the crew would sleep. I quickly to grab it, but then it flew below deck. I went below deck looking for it.
Then I spotted it I picked it up, and rolled it up, and put it away in my coat's pocket.
When I looked up I saw it, it was a ghost not just an ordinary ghost, but a ghost pirate. I was shocked I thought I was seeing things. I rubbed my eyes, and looked again. I was definitely not seeing things.
The ghost pirate just starred at me with an unpleasant smile. I just stood where I was as if I was frozen. As if I couldn't move. That's when I heard yelling come from above deck. This distracted the ghost, and it turned around. I decided that this was my chance, my chance to quietly, but quickly get above deck.
I tiptoed up the stairs. Once I got up there I froze once again. This time there was more than one ghost pirate. They were everywhere, and they were lining up the whole crew asking for captain Townsend. I didn't know what to do.
That's when I felt someone grab my hand. It was Captain Townsend "follow me" he whispered to me.
I did not ask questions, and just as he said and followed him. We both quietly ran into the captains chambers. Once we got in we closed the door behind us.
Captain Townsend let go of my hand. "We should be safe here for now" I was freaking out. "For now?" I said to captain Townsend with concern. I was freaking out there were ghost pirates on the ship, and I had no idea why they were here, and what they wanted from us.
"You may think yer safe, but ye far from it" said a voice coming from behind Townsend. That's when Townsend turned around. It was a ghost pirate captain.
"Nice, to see ye again Townsend, or should I say Captain Townsend." The pirate captain said to Townsend as if he knew him well.
"I can't say the same for you." Captain Townsend said to the pirate. I couldn't believe my eyes I couldn't process what was going on. This has to be dream I thought to myself.
Then all of a sudden I felt dizzy maybe it was because of everything that was happening, I felt like I was spinning like everything around me was turning, and spinning then everything went dark.
