Eliza! Eliza! Wake up! I heard I didn't know what was happening. I opened my eyes and saw Philip. "Philip?" I was confused I thought I was with Captain Townsend? What happened? Did I fall asleep or faint. The last thing I remember was seeing the ghost pirates And then everything went dark.
"Are you alright?" Philip asked sounding concerned. "I think I'm fine I'm just confused." He helped me up. When I got up I saw the same ghost pirates I had saw from before.
"What is going on?" I was confused and scared at this point I didn't believe in ghost stories until now.
"Well when you went below deck the ghost pirates just appeared out of nowhere, they lined everyone up, and asked for captain Townsend."
I saw captain Townsend with the same pirate captain from the captains chambers. "Since They couldn't find Townsend they went searching around the ship, that's when I heard you fainted. Townsend asked me to take care of you while he took care of this mess."
Now I seemed to remember what happened. After seeing the pirate captain I fainted I was kind of freaked out about it.
"What happens now?" Philip looked at me like he didn't know what to say. "I don't know! I've never been it a situation like this."
I wondered how we were going to get out of here we still need to go through mermaid cove and the dark waters just to get to the pirates cove to get Captain Crawford's treasure and the ring of immortality.
We still had a long way to go so what was captain Townsend going to do? "Come let's go over there the ghosts won't see us and we can see what is happening."
I nodded my head and followed Philip. We crept quietly and hid behind some barrels to see what was going on.
"Townsend, it really, really is great to see ye again mate." Townsend just looked at the Ghost pirate Captain with disgust.
" Listen here you phantom, I ain't ye mate so leave me, me ship and me crew alone." I was shocked how could he say that to a ghost that could probably kill us all is he insane!
He didn't even looked scared of them! "I have a name you ungrateful scoundrel ."It almost seemed like the ghost pirate was not sure what he wanted to say back.
"Cat got your tongue mate? Listen here, ah yes what was your name? Captain death correct?" Captain Townsend looked at him as if he knew who he was talking to like he knew this man in the past.
"Well, of course when you were alive it was Captain David Death wasn't it?" "Aye so ye do remember me?" Captain Death said looking really satisfied.
"Aye I remember ye because ye was not only was a week pirate, but a weak Captain." What was he thinking? What was he doing?
"What did I insult ye? Oh well ye be dead anyways why does it matter?" Captain Death took looked mad. he stepped forward towards Townsend.
"Your a better captain are ye?" He asked Townsend with a laugh.
"Aye a way better one than you are I can guarantee that." Captain dead pulled out a sword
"we shall see about that." Captain Townsend looked at Captain Death and laughed. "Oh lost soul your time has come." Captain Death looked worried.
"What are you doing? Stop!" Captain Townsend continues "the ocean is calling you go lost soul be free now let the waters help you once more. Float through the cold cold waters, and never step foot on land again."
"No, why I can't go back there please." That's when all the ghost pirates on the ship just disappeared. Just like that why were gone.
I quickly got up from my hiding place. "What just happened?" I asked Townsend. "I took care of them." I was confused why did they just vanish.
"Get ready for our next course, Ms. Lockhart give us the heading." That's when I grabbed my map and decided to walk up to Townsend who was at the helm to give him our best destination.
"Mermaid cove is where we have to go through next." Townsend looked at me "which way Ms. Lockhart?"
"We are to continue west." I told Townsend. "Thank you, Ms. Lockhart. "Come one men let's go the faster get out the better, to Your places!"
The crew all stood up "aye captain" they said as they ran to their duties like their lives depended on it. I walked over to the edge of the ship look at the water and that when I saw them the ghost pirates they were in the water! in the ocean!
I could not believe my eyes. "Ahhhhhhh" I screamed as stepped away form the edge. "Ms. Lockhart what is it?" I pointed to where I saw the ghost pirates.
"You really are a scary man." I said to captain Townsend and ran away to the captains chamber. I didn't believe in ghosts before this trip, but I do now.
I decided to descend for the night I went into my room, and hid under the covers. I kept telling myself I was safe. I needed time to process what I saw. I missed my father. I felt I would be stuck here with these pirates for the rest of my life.
Tomorrow is another day, tomorrow is another day I repeated to myself to calm me down as I laid on my bed and closed my eyes. I hope that tomorrow will be a better day for me.
