It was still dark out and we were on our way to the isle of the mist. I was extremely exhausted at this point. So much has happened in only 2 days, so I decided I would go get some rest.

I went below deck and grabbed a candle. I made sure I walked slowly and quietly since  the rest of the crew was also sleeping and I thought it would be rude to wake them.

As I walking back up to the main deck I saw Philip standing there with his arms crossed. "You scared me who just stands there like that." He then put his arms down.

"What are you doing?" He asked me as  soon as I stepped all the way up to the main deck.

"I'm exhausted I'm going to get some rest, you should too." Philip then grabbed my arm

"where? Exactly are you going to sleep?" At this point I was annoyed I know that he wanted to keep me safe, but I felt like I couldn't even move without his permission. "In the captains chambers, now good night!"

I then stormed off to the captains chamber. I was glad Philip was here, but I need a little bit of a distance from him. Maybe I was annoyed because I was tired. Some rest should do me good. I put the candle on a barrel and took my coat off, and my boots off.

I then lied down on the bed as I blew out the candle. I then closed my eyes and drifted off.

I must've been really tired as I fell asleep right away. This pirate ship wasn't so bad. And the pirates weren't either I thought.

This was something I would never say out loud only in my thoughts. Whoosh, whoosh I heard the sound of the waves. Then sun was in my eyes at that point. It was morning, time to get up.

I got up put my boots on I didn't think I would need my coat for now so left it in the room. I then proceeded to open the door, and left the captains chambers and headed over to the helm.

"Good morning." It was Philip he was waiting for me as soon as I opened the door.

"Did you sleep well?" Ugh how annoying here he is again I have a feeling he was going to nag me once more.

"Yes I did." I said while smiling. "Where are you going?" He asked right away. "To see Captain Townsend." I said in a annoyed tone.

"I will accompany you then." At this point I didn't say or do anything. I decided to ignore him and just go on with my day. As I walked to the helm I saw Townsend, Marty and Dax all talking.

"Ah, Miss, Lockhart good morning I hope you rested well. Captain Townsend said as I approached the three of them.

"Yes, I did indeed" Captain Townsend then took the helm. "Aye, good to hear." The journey had only begun, but it felt like I had been here for a week when it was only about 3 days.

"Are we close to the isle of mist?" I asked seemingly curious. "Aye, from the information you have given me we will be there by sundown."

We still have a days worth of travelling to do. I sighed. "Well then all we have to do is wait." I walked away from Townsend, and went to look out at the sea. I took in the breeze as I watched the water.

How beautiful I thought. Philip then caught up to me. "Eliza don't get to conformable with these pirates, they will only bring hurt in the end." My good mood had suddenly shifted. "Yes, Philip I know you don't need to repeat." I said sounding annoyed.

"Yes, sorry." He then went silent.

"Philip, was it?" Captain Townsend asked as he walked towards us with Marty. "What is it you want pirate?" I turned around to see what was going to happen. I was also curious to what Captain Townsend was going to do.

"Let's give you a tour of the ship, shall we?" Philip looked aggravated. "Marty, take this young man for a tour." He ordered Marty. I looked at Philip and shaked my head as it looked like he was planning on doing something.

He nodded and followed Marty. "Aye, Captain, follow me mate." Marty said to Philip showing him the way.

I turned around and looked at the ocean once again. "You must be reviled now Miss, Lockhart." Captain Townsend said as he stood beside me.

"I don't know what you mean." I responded as if everything was ok. "I noticed ye friend was begin an annoyance." I then turned and looked at him.

"And, how exactly do you know that?" He then turned towards me. "It's written all over your face, love." I scoffed, "that is absurd."

Captain Townsend laughed at me. "If there's one thing I learned about travelling on the sea for this long, it's that you can get annoyed easily." He turned and looked at the sea. "Then why do you still put yourself through it?" I asked.

"Well, the sea of course, I may get annoyed by some of me mates, but the sea never." I turned, and joined him looking at the sea and the waves.

"Why's that." I was curious to why he would sail the sea. "There's a whole world out there to explore Miss, Lockhart."

Explore? he did this so he could explore the sea? "There is a lot out there unknown and, unexplored I think that's a valid reason to travel the sea plus the sea feels like home."

He then walked to the helm to check up on Dax whom was still at the helm. I thought about what he said about exploring the unknown,  it did sound interesting.

I was intrigued. The sea home? I guess if you travel as long as Townsend has the sea becomes your home. I wondered if the sea would also become my home if I spend too much time here.
