They ended up taking Drista to a hospital, with the assistance of the trained guards. Bad and Skeppy waited in a carriage outside the hospital, and let a guard escort her in.
"So what happens now?" Skeppy asked while being latched onto Bad's side. Drista had given him a big fright. He felt on the edge, like someone was about to sneak up and stab him.
"I have no idea...we might just have to bring her home ourselves. I want to be forgiving, but that was too far. She needs to go home and get everything sorted out." Bad had told the story to the guard, so he could share the story with the doctors. He didn't have the heart to drag the girl in there.
"She needs a fucking straightjacket." Skeppy huffed.
"I...well, I wouldn't go that far. Dream might have to admit her into a psychiatric hospital after all." Bad wished he didn't have to put her in that situation, but he couldn't have her hurting his family. If he wasn't so quick, Skeppy could of been stabbed.
"We need to go to Dream's kingdom anyway...his dad might be the man that killed my sister." Skeppy looked up at Bad, hoping he also wanted to find out what happened to Skepina.
"I know...we can't just show up and start accusing him of stuff. We'll need proof that he's a bad man."
"How the hell are we supposed to do that?"
"Well, Drista could potentially talk to a detective. Tell them everything her dad did. That would be a start. If he's abusing his daughter, he could easily harm other girls."
Skeppy shook his head and sighed. "Do you really think they'll listen to her if she goes to a psychiatric hospital? Once she's deemed unstable, they'll laugh at any claims she makes."
Bad had to admit that Skeppy had a valid point. Mentally ill people were hardly believed. "True...what should we do then?"
"Let's just take her back, and get Dream to help us look into this. We don't have to tell Dream she pulled a knife on me. Not until we get what we need from her." Skeppy had no problem using the girl as a tool to get the closure he wanted.
"I don't know Skeppy...she clearly needs mental assistance. I think the right thing to do would be admit her to a hospital." Bad tried to convince Skeppy to do the morally correct thing.
"Bad, I need to find out if it's true. I'll be so much happier once I know who killed her." Skeppy pouted at Bad, giving him a begging pout.
"Alright but after this is settled, we need to tell Dream to get her some help."
"Deal" Skeppy agreed. He nuzzled into Bad's side.
Bad rubbed his cheek. "How are you feeling? I bet it was scary when she pulled a knife on you."
"I'm a bit anxious, but I think I'll be okay...I just want to find out what happened to my sister." Skeppy felt comforted by Bad's touch.
"Just focus on me right now, don't worry too much about anything else until you feel calm." Bad whispered and kissed the top of his head.
Skeppy looked up and kissed Bad's lips. They didn't share many kisses lately. "How are you feeling?"
Bad had to take a minute to think about it. "I'm a bit freaked out, if I didn't catch her in time you could of been hurt."
"Yeah, thanks for saving me."
"Of course, I'd never let you get hurt." Bad kissed Skeppy's nose.
"That's not entirely true." Skeppy tapped on his cheek, where the scar was.
"Oh- Skeppy your burns were completely out of my control. I wish I could of saved you in time, but I couldn't."
"Well you were in the building with me when I got this scar, so I feel like you could of..." Skeppy trailed off, as if he was going to say more.
"Are you kidding me?" Bad started to get defensive now. "Skeppy I was shot, and they had me tied down!"
"But...if you love someone you can do anything for them right?"
"Skeppy I'm not a wizard, I couldn't just magically save you." Bad couldn't take him seriously.
"Well if our roles were reversed, I would of found a way to stop them from burning you."
Bad laughed, but nothing about the situation was funny. "Really? Really Skeppy?" He covered his face, trying to process what Skeppy was saying.
"Yeah..."
"Skeppy if we were switched in that situation, you would of sacrificed me for your own safety."
"No I wouldn't of-"
Bad moved away from Skeppy. "No, shut up! I'm sick of you expecting me to do the impossible for you all the time. I'm always taking care of you like you're the king, and I'm the peasant." Bad opened the carriage door and got out.
"Bad-" Skeppy was in shock that Bad would lose his patience like that.
"I'm going to check on Drista." He slammed the door, and went into the hospital.

Bad stood outside the room, talking to a doctor. "So, what's the next step now?"
"Well from my evaluation, she's definitely suffering from trauma. I would suggest a phycologist definitely. Also I would look into her family. She's showing some signs of abuse, as well as physical evidence." The doctor explained to Bad.
"Yeah, I plan on that thanks...how much physical evidence is there?" Bad wondered if it was enough to get the Taken king in trouble.
"Well she told me her sides hurt, so I took a look. Both of her sides and stomach are severely bruised. I'm not sure what happened there."
"Oh, she's been wearing corsets. That might explain that." Bad sighed, it probably wouldn't be enough proof.
"Yes, corsets and waist trainers can be dangerous when not used right."
"When can I take her back?"
"You can take her now, we can't do much else for her. Like I said, get her a phycologist and they'll work it out from there."
"Okay thanks, I'll take her now then." Bad opened the room door.
"Oh, I'm not sure if you'll be upset about this. We did have to give her a sedative so she might be a bit loopy." The doctor added.
"That's fine, you probably had no other choice."
-
Once they were back at the castle, Bad had to make the plans. Skeppy was in their room moping around. They would have to leave tomorrow and head to Dream's kingdom. Bad felt like like this trip would be a horrible idea.
While in the middle of writing his plan down on a piece of paper, he got the feeling that it was time to check on Skeppy.
He walked to the bedroom and knocked, before walking in. Skeppy was under a pile of blankets. "Hey Skeppy...you alright?"
"No..." The blankets moved slightly.
"I'm sorry for getting mad at you back at the hospital. I was under a lot of stress." Bad kneeled beside the bed.
Skeppy slowly came out from the blankets and sat up. "No, I'm sorry...I know I don't always do my equal part."
"It's okay, we have bigger things to worry about right now. I'm sure we'll work it out eventually." Bad honestly didn't expect Skeppy to change.
"I'm sorry if I ask too much of you, I guess I don't realize it." Skeppy made eye contact with Bad.
Bad smiled softly and gazed into Skeppy's eyes. "It's alright, I'll still love you. No one is perfect." Bad knew Skeppy could of slapped him then, and he would of still loved him.
