The warmth of his body is so comforting, the constant beating of his heart relaxes me. Absently, he strokes my back, his eyes are closed.
I can't stop thinking about it. It had been a long time since I felt emotion during a hook-up. I can't explain, but I just know that the way he looked at me and how he kissed me as he thrusted into me... I felt wanted. It's like we've both needed to do this for a long time, too long. Now I feel better, I feel less weight on my shoulders.
Suddenly I hear him sigh. "I badly needed it," he says.
I raise my head and look at him. "Mhm? What?"
"Spend a little time with you," and his lips curl in a slight smile.
I kiss him, then look at him for a few seconds. "But remember we hate each other."
He chuckles. "It's true, take off!" and he jokingly pushes me.
"Asshole!" I laugh too.
He shakes his head. "Come here," and he opens an arm and tells me to go back to where I was.
I shouldn't be here with him. We are a wrong thing. But I don't know why, it suddenly feels the rightest thing in the world. Me in his arms, his eyes in mine.
My phone vibrates on the bedside table. Miss Williams. Miss Williams!
"Harry! This is Miss Williams, we are super late! I have to answer, you start dressing." I immediately get out of bed and hold the phone between my shoulder and neck as I find a pair of clean panties and some clothes to put on. "Hello?"
"Helen!" she yells at me. "Where the hell are you and Harry? It's very late!"
"Um, sorry, I haven't seen the timetable. We're— I'm arriving. I have no idea where Davis is. I'll call him."
"Hurry!" and she ends the call.
At this point Harry is ready. I quickly put on a pair of leggings and a tight long-sleeved top, because it's freezing outside.
"Take the bag with my things. Where do you have yours?" I ask him as I tie my hair into a messy bun.
"At home. Shit, we have to hurry."
I wrap myself in a long beige coat and we finally leave the house. We go in Harry's car. He stops at his house to get his backpack and guitar while I wait for him in the car. It also started raining. In a few minutes we arrive.
Jade is sitting at the piano for who knows how long. "You took it easy, huh?" she says jokingly.
Miss Williams lectures us, of course, and in the meantime we're dripping on the floor. "Take off your jackets and let's start, come on!"
"What happened?" Jade asks us.
"I fell asleep," I reply.
Harry pretends not to hear our short conversation, I thank him for that.
"So, Davis, have you studied the chords?" our teacher asks him.
"Yup. Let's begin?"
"Of course."
They start playing, and I have to say that the guitar really fits the song. Then I start singing, but Harry gets confused after a sung line.
"Davis, what's the problem?" says Miss Williams in that acid tone of hers, the same one she used on me about a week ago.
Harry snorts and runs a hand through his wet hair. "None. It's just that her voice confuses me," he explains.
"Well, then when you have some free time you will meet and rehearse together. I can't waste time like this. Jade and Helen, you go on, Harry, you can go home," Miss Williams orders.
