December

During the last two months the baby bump has become a struggle and gets in my way.

Harry and I have moved in an apartment together, and he's been super helpful. He's still going to lectures, but I'm not, because I'm due to three days.

I'm a little scared to give birth, I know it's very painful, but I also know that I'll feel delighted.

We decided to name her Allison, and were looking forward to hold her in our arms.

Everything I do these days is sleep, pee, and watch TV or read books. Oh, and eat and drink of course. Nothing else. It gets a good minute to get up every time.

By the time, Harry is back, I heard the door unlock.

"Hey, baby, I'm back," he says as he drops his backpack on the floor and leans over to give me a peck on the lips.

I start laughing, because I have to pee again. "I need to go to the bathroom."

He runs his hand on his face and chuckles. "Oh, sweet Jesus."

Harry helps me to get up, but as soon as I'm on my feet warm liquid runs down my legs. "Harry..."

"What?"

"I think my waters just broke."

His eyes widen, and he starts panicking. "Fuck. God. What are we supposed to do now? Shit, Helen!"

I take his face in my hands and force him to calm down. "We've to go to the hospital, that's it. I'm going to take a quick shower first, you bring my stuff that's ready."

He nods. "Okay, okay, got it. If you need me, scream."

I laugh and head to the bathroom.

While I rinse, a pang of pain hits me, and I groan. I've had contractions in the past month, but now they are real contractions.

I wrap a towel around my chest and sit on the toilet. I'm getting dressed when another contraction comes. "Please, Allie, don't kill me," I whisper.

"You ready? Everything okay?" Harry asks me, his voice slightly trembling.

"Yes."

I call my parents to inform them that the moment is coming and call also Kate—Harry's mother—and Jade.

The contractions now are every five minutes.

"You ready, Daddy?" I ask Harry, giving him a proud smile.

"So ready, baby."
