Kokichis pov

I was sneaking down the alleyway with my new allys shuichi and maki. I met them when I returned that idiot kaito home. They allowed me to join their group since I saved his life. I guess that idiot dose have his uses. Right now he's resting at home while we sneak around town. At its quiet now-

"hey guys!"

"waaa!"

We turned around to see kaito limping towards us. Dose that idiot have any brains in that head of his!

"kaito what are you doing here!" shuichi gasped.

"I wanna help you guys! I don't want to sit around doing nothing"

"kaito your limping and loud yelling is going to get us all killed. Is that what you want?" maki said in a calm yet threatening tone.

"n-no" he muttered.

"good. Kokichi take him home" maki ordered.

"okie doki! Come on idiot-chan!" I said dragging him away dispite his protests.

I continued to dragged him through the forest as he continued to yell at me.

"kokichi knock it off that hurts"

"no you know what hurts!" I turned to him with tears in my eyes "having my whole family die in front of me and then watching someone I care about be so reckless with themselves. That's what hurts!"

"Kokichi" he slowly pulled me into a hug "I'm sorry but the only reason I do this is so I can be useful to everyone. Especially you. You saved my life kokichi I wanna repay you"

"repay me by staying alive dumbass!" I yelled at him with tears running down my face.

"will do" kaito chuckled. He gently wiped away my tears and smiled at me "come on kid let's go home"
