I Don't Blame you

Kaitos pov

I was walking down the hallway. I was in a pretty bad mood after last night. I can't believe a sweet guy like gonta had to die like that. I won't stand for this injustice!

I stopped in my tracks. I heard crying coming from gontas room. Has gontas ghost come back to haunt us? I started internally freaking out.

"Ok kaito now is not the time to freak out" I told myself "I gotta send the ghost back to the afterlife. If I don't he could take the others soals!" so I grabbed some stuff from korekiyos lab and ran back to gonta room.

I kicked down the door "begone spirit of gonta. Return to the afterlife where you belong!"

"ahh!" kokichi screamed. Wait kokichi? But I thought he didn't care about gonta. Was that just another lie.

"goddammit kaito you nearly gave me a heart attack!" he yelled.

"I nearly gave you a heart attack? I thought gontas ghost had come back to haunt us thanks to you!" I yelled back.

"of course an idiot like you would think that" he muttered.

"what are you doing in here kokichi" I sighed getting fairly annoyed.

"I'm greaving dumbass!" he yelled "now please leave me alone"

"your greaving" I muttered in disbelief "but you said you didn't care about gonta"

"I was obviously lying" he said rubbing his tears away.

"why on earth would you lie about something like that" I said taking a seat next to him.

"because I deserved all your hate!"he yelled with tears in his eyes "I killed him! It's all my fault that my only friend is dead!" I've never heard so much pain in the boys voice. It made me want to hold him close and tell him everything going to be alright. What the hell? I've never felt this way about him before!

I pulled him into a hug "Well you know something. I don't blame you at all"

His eyes widened. I thought he was going to hug me back but instead he pushed me away and stood up

"thank you kaito. I needed that. Now I'm definitely going to end the killing game" with that he walked away.
