Chapter Sixty-Three: Distraction

"Azazel," says Mark. "What are you doing here?"

"It's good to see you too red ranger," answers Azazel. "Sorry to barge in on your little jog but Lucifer has asked me to take care of you,"

"Whatever Lucifer is planning we won't let you get away with it," says Sam.

"Ready Sam?" asked Mark.

"Ready," answers Sam.

"Lightning Strike, Ranger up!" they exclaimed together and morphed into their ranger suits.

"Dark Angels, Rise!" yelled Azazel as the dark angels with their black wings and swords appeared in view. The Dark angels ran at Mark and Sam who started to fight them, the two rangers summoned their weapons as the continued to fight. Sam knocked the foot soldiers down while Mark jumped over one and went for Azazel who pulled his weapon out and began to fight Mark.

"Don't you idiots ever get a break?!" yells Mark. "Thunder Mace!" a strike to Azazel's chest made him stumble back.

"We won't stop until we have that colt red ranger! But you keep getting in our way!" Azazel swung his sword as Mark deflected it with his mace. Each time Azazel would strike, Mark would block but the third time around didn't seem to work because Azazel struck Mark in the chest with his sword, sparks flew off his suit as he fell onto the ground. Sam noticed that Mark had fallen and called for the rest of their team.

"Dean, Sammy, Tara, Sean, Kat! We've got a situation here in the forest!" exclaims Sam.

"We're on our way!" says Dean as the hung up. Mark got up from the ground and continued to fight against Azazel. Azazel watched with each movement Mark made until he saw his chance, he swung down as Mark blocked.

"You may be strong red ranger, but I'm much stronger!" exclaims Azazel as he pushed the sword and with-it Mark's mace, using his agility, Azazel struck at Mark's chest and landed on the other side. Mark groaned and collapsed, he tried to stand but when it felt like he was about to lose Azazel had been shot at making him stumble and sparks started to fly around Azazel. With him distracted the rest of the team ran over to Mark and Sam they destroyed all the dark angels, so it left Azazel outnumbered one to seven. Azazel snarled and looked at the rangers.

"Mark?" asked Sam. "Are you okay?"

"I'm fine," responds Mark as his friends helped him stand. "Better than he's going to be!" he continued. "Let's put them together guys!"

"Right!" exclaims the rangers Sammy and Dean put their weapons together while the other five put theirs together to form the cannon.

"Rifle crossbow! Ready!" yells the brothers.

"Lightning Strike Cannon! Ready!" exclaims the five rangers.

"Fire!" they said as one and colors flew out of their combined weapons but before they could hit, Azazel turned into black smoke and appeared on one of the trees.

"Nice try rangers!" exclaims Azazel. "Next time red ranger, you and I will fight, and we will see who the victor really is!" with his last words, Azazel flew back to hell. The rangers detached their weapons and dimorphed.

"Okay," says Sean. "What was that all about?"

"And why did Lucifer decide to attack now?" asked Tara.

"I don't know," responds Dean. "But I have a feeling that must have been a distraction," Sam thought back to his friend Colby who had been gone almost all day.

"Wait," says Sam. "Where's Colby?"

The rangers looked at each other with worried expressions as they took off back to the bunker. Upon arriving at the bunker, they stepped through and saw that Colby had just came out from the kitchen.

"Guys?" says Colby in confusion. "Why do you look worried? Especially you Sam?"

"Oh," says Sam. "I was just worried because you had been gone all day,"

"I was only gone because I met a girl today," responds Colby. "And I would love for you to meet her, I brought her back to the bunker,"

"You did what?!" exclaims Dean in shock. "Colby, didn't I mention that no one else is supposed to know about this place?"

"I didn't see the harm in bringing her here," answers Colby trying to defend himself and the girl. The door opened as a young girl stepped through, Dean's breath caught at the sight of the young girl she was beautiful, and she seemed slightly worried because she stepped closer to Colby.

"Is this the girl?" Questioned Dean.

"Yes, guys," said Colby. "I'd like you to meet Arabella, Arabella, these are my friends," Even though Lust wasn't expecting the rangers to show up in time to speak to Colby, she had to find a way to get her hands on the colt it's just a matter of trying to figure out where it was being stored away. She wouldn't be able to find it without Colby's help and while the rangers were standing before her she had to think of something else. Sam found it slightly hard to believe that Colby had already found a girl, he always thought that it would have been best to stay single the fact that he asked the girl out first seemed strange to Sam. He turned toward Mark and tapped him on the shoulder.

"Guys," says Sam as he turned to the other six members. "Can I speak to you guys in private?"

"Sure," says Katrina as the rangers all went upstairs to the gym. The walked through the door and closed it behind them.

"Sam?" asks Sammy. "Is everything okay?"

"I don't trust her," said Sam immediately. "Something about her seems off,"

"Sam, really?" says Katrina. "Why are you always so suspicious?"

"It's just weird you know?" answers Sam. "How could Colby go to the store and in a flash bring home a girl?"

"I think your being ridiculous," said Mark. "She seems like a nice girl,"

"I have to agree with Sam," spoke Sean. "Remember the last time this happened? One of Lucifer's minions tried to steal the colt by infiltrating our base,"

"I second that," agrees Dean. "The last time something like this happened was when Sean was captured and replaced with an impostor,"

"Guys, can't we all appreciate that Colby has finally found a girl he was really into?" asked Tara. "We always try to pin things on each other and if this is the work of Lucifer it won't be long until she tries to steal the colt from the safe,"

"Sammy? What do you make of this?" asked Dean as all eyes landed on Sammy. Sammy hated that they were trying to sort this out with him as a tie breaker. He didn't know who he should agree with and who he shouldn't.

"Well, if she is someone who works for Lucifer our best bet is to watch her," said Sammy. "That's the only way we'll know and if she isn't then we put this to rest, agreed?" The rangers looked at each other and reluctantly agreed knowing that they would not be able to tell the girl's true intentions until she did something. While the rangers were watching the girl, Lucifer had been watching them enjoying every minute of the rangers being disillusioned by the truth.
