Once the rangers were back at the bunker, Sean, Mark, Tara, and Sam's personalities had changed completely. They had started to act like jerks and Katrina wasn't sure what to make of it.
"Colby, Dean, what do you think is going on with them?" questioned Katrina as Mark and Sean were going at each other. Sean had started to sound more psychotic, but Mark had started to talk deep and menacing. Sam on the other hand, he was acting like he wanted to kill someone while Tara had been the complete opposite, their outfits also had changed, and Katrina was starting to worry about them.
"I'm not sure," says Dean as he tried to approach one of them. "Mark?" Mark glared at Dean with pure hatred as his eyes flashed red.
"If one more person calls me that stupid weakling name, then I will make sure they will suffer," he continued. "My name is not Mark, it is Dark, and I've waited so long to take control,"
"Like yeah," says Tara who sounded more like a valley girl. "I mean come on you idiot, you should know the difference,"
"Okay," says Dean as he backed away slowly. With a few more taps of the keyboard, Colby had an idea.
"That's it!" says Colby. "That monster you fought today is an alter ego monster," he continued. "This monster has the ability to turn anyone he touches into a darker persona,"
"So, the darker persona of Tara is... A valley girl?" Katrina said in confusion.
"Tara has always been emo," Colby said. "Which means that her alter ego had to be something weird and cheerful,"
"How do we get them back?" Katrina questioned.
"If the monster is indeed someone who can turn people into their darker persona, then the only way to return them to normal is by destroying the monster," Dean joined in.
"This is all my fault," says Katrina as realization dawned on her. "I should have been more prepared," she continued. "I kept getting distracted with the life that I used to have, and I wanted that back,"
"Katrina," says Dean as he walked over and gave her a hug. "It's not your fault, I know it's hard to decide what to do," he said. "But you should go with your gut instinct, whatever happens we'll understand," he continued. "As a ranger, you should know that your decisions matter when you agreed to become a power ranger, you were giving up your normal life," he kept going. "But know that you will get that life back once Lucifer is defeated,"
Katrina gave Dean a hug knowing that she could count on him to say the right things. When Katrina pulled away she looked at her friends and how they were acting, the monster had to be stopped and at that point she knew what she had to do; if she was going to be a ranger then she had to give up her civilian life to fight her enemies.
"How can I defeat it?" she asked.
"That is for you to figure out," says Dean. "Know that your bow can transform into a powerful weapon, just call on it when the time is right,"
"Okay, I'm going to try and find that monster, wherever it is, I will defeat it and get my friends back,"
"Until you defeat it, the others will be like this and pretty soon if it's not defeated, they will stay like this forever and Lucifer would have won," Katrina nodded as she left the bunker and searched for the monster. While Kat was gone, Dean turned toward the situation before him at the same time Sean and Mark began to bicker.
"You really think that your better than me? Anti?" said Mark. "Because unlike you, I've been able to stay alive and try to take control of this pathetic body, you on the other hand, you have to kill to control Sean's body," glared Mark.
"I may have to kill him, over and over again," says Anti with a psychotic laugh. "But at least I prove my point,"
"Oh yeah hot shot?!" exclaims Mark as he pulled out his weapon. "Why don't we test that theory?" knowing that Mark and Sean would try to kill each other, Dean and Colby had to quickly break the fight as Sam and Tara watched. They laughed like they were enjoying themselves as Tara chewed on gum and blew a bubble making sure that it popped.
"Oh yeah!" Exclaims Sam. "Fight it out! See who'll win!" he yelled.
"No," says Dean. "No one is fighting anyone!"
