With the defeat of Lucifer, things should have gone back to the way it was. However, there were two enemies left. Azazel and Morgana. While the rangers returned to their normal lives, the demon and witch were sitting in hell. Azazel was complaining nonstop about how the rangers were able to defeat their boss and it didn't take Morgana long to realize just how annoying he was.
"Azazel, do stop pacing you're getting on my nerves," Morgana complained.
"Lucifer is gone Morgana, now if you have some other idea to defeat these stupid rangers, I'm all ears." Azazel growled.
Morgana sighed and rolled her eyes she stood and walked over to the crystal ball. A large glass sphere that gave her an eagle vision on the rangers.
"I only have one idea," Morgana explained. "There is a jewel, the sapphire necklace, if you can get your hands on it we can use it against the rangers," she continued. "Maybe we'll even have better luck than Lucifer ever did."

Azazel did not like the idea that he was going to work for Morgana but with his master gone, she was the next witch he would turn to. Not saying that he wouldn't betray her, but in the meantime he had to do something. No way was Lucifer defeated not on his watch. He would come back, whenever that would be he had no idea. But at least he had a plan.
Not willing to test Morgana any longer, he smoked out of hell and back to earth followed by Dark angels.
