The night that the gates of hell were opened, was the same day that everything was going to end for Dean. At least that's what he thought. He and his fellow hunters were fighting a long and hard battle, sending as many demons to hell as they could. But Already, his friends were falling to their demise. Colt in hand, Dean raced through the crowd, killing the demons he came in contact with, using the demon blade, a blade forged specifically to kill demons and stolen from a demon that he hated with a passion. He ran through the demons, killing them. Nearing the entrance to the gate, Dean saw Lucifer, the king of hell himself, watch the battle unfold. Adrenaline kicked in and he was ready to knock the dick back into the gates.

"Lucifer!" Dean exclaimed. He ran to the fallen angel only for the demon, Azazel, sending Dean sprawling onto the ground.

"I wouldn't Winchester." Lucifer laughed, Dean groaned and looked around watching every single one of his hunters, including his brother lose to the demons they were overpowered. "It's a shame that you fought me for so long, now all around you, your friends and your brother are dying and there's nothing you can do about it!" Dean forced himself to his feet, colt in hand and a blade in the other.

"We'll see about that!" Dean yelled and attacked the body guards but no matter what he did, they always overpowered him. Another strike and Dean fell to the ground, weakened he glared at Lucifer. Suddenly, when he was ready to give up, lightning struck at Lucifer's feet, causing him to stumble back. "What the hell?" Dean asked. He glanced up and saw five hunters wearing brightly colored uniforms.

"Who are you people?!" Lucifer yelled at the color coded individuals.

"Hunters, like Dean," a hunter with a red uniform. "Return to hell or else." Lucifer laughed and pushed himself to his feet.

"I'm not leaving, this world is mine!" with Lucifer getting distracted, Dean took the chance and attacked his enemy, sending Lucifer back into the gates. The doors pulled demons back in through the use of a vacuum style force. "this isn't over Dean Winchester. I will be back!" the doors shut at those words, giving Dean the chance to put the colt into the circular shaped keyhole, locking the doors. Dean sighed in relief and turned to the heroes that helped him.

"Thank you." Dean said. "But who are you?" The heroes dimorphed revealing five people, most of which were grown adults.

"My name is Robert Brock," Robert said. "Lucifer won't stay down for long. He will come back." Dean tried to push away those thoughts. It was best if the demons stayed in hell where they belonged, but a small part of him made him think twice about letting down his guard. "You must be prepared," Robert responded. "Your mother helped me create these." The heroes handed Dean small pieces of jewelry. Dean politely took them and examined the rings in amazement. "He will stop at nothing to get back to earth, so you must hide these until the next heroes are chosen." Dean glanced from the rings to the heroes, then back to the rings where each individual ring had been marked with Enochian sigils. The power that the rings had was strong enough to send Lucifer into hell, so Dean assumed the heroes had to be selected carefully.

"You can trust me," Dean said, clenching his hand. "I'll make sure that I give the rings to the right people." Robert nodded and walked off with the rest of his team. With the rings in hand, Dean burned his friends remains so that their sprits would crossover, turning away from the battlefield, Dean walked over to his 1967 Chevrolet impala and climbed in, he drove back to the bunker where the rings stayed for the next four years.

Four years later, Lucifer groaned and opened his eyes. He sat up quickly, thinking that he was on earth, but once his eyes adjusted, he realized he was right back in hell where he first started. Getting to his feet, Lucifer yelled and punched a nearby wall, which broke into small pieces. From the shadows, Azazel emerged, his bright yellow eyes turned back to brown.

"My lord," Azazel said, bowing his head. "You've awakened."

"I maybe awake, but I'm still trapped in hell, Azazel. I need you to go to the mortal world and find that colt!" he yelled. "Take some dark angels if you have to. Just bring me that colt and I'll promote you to my right-hand man." Azazel smirked and agreed to it, traveling to the human world and thinking that maybe he'd be able to find the colt and bring his master back to the human world.

In Los Angeles, California, Colby and Dean stayed in the bunker scouring the internet for broadcasts or anything that would show the demons coming back. Colby's baby blue eyes stayed glue to the screen as Dean had been pacing back and forth. Ever since the day everyone he cared about died around him, Dean's main goal was to protect the colt and seal Lucifer away permanently. It still bothered him, however, that Lucifer would come back. As a result, Colby's grandfather gave him five rings which would pass to five new heroes. Over the years, Colby and Dean installed alarms around the bunker in case there was an attack on Los Angeles.

"Anything?" Dean asked, walking over to the computer.

"Nothing yet, Dean." Colby responded. Thinking that they would be relieved, the alarms int he bunker went off, causing them to turn all their attention away from a current camera they were looking at to the other areas of Los Angeles. In downtown Los Angeles they saw the yellow-eyed demon had shown himself, along with new foot soldiers, dark feathered angels in nothing but armor and wings expanding as far as an eagle could. "Oh Crap." Colby said.

"Lucifer's back?" Dean asked.

"Worse, Azazel came back, and it looks like he made some new friends." Colby said, pointing at the dark angels.

"Looks like it's time," Dean said. "Find five people can help protect and control the powers of these rings," he continued. "Make sure that it's through their personalities and skills." Colby nodded and searched for potential candidates. His computer could pick up on five individuals that possessed the correct stamina and personality traits of true heroes. Digital images of the five heroes appeared, three of them he knew: Tara Yummy, Katrina Stuart, his best friend Sam Golbach, and the other two were Mark Fischbach and Sean McLoughlin. Feeling confident about his selection, Dean walked to the storage closet behind the shelf and pulled out the ring box. He hid the wooden box safely in the closet for years, collecting dust before it was time for them to be given to five new heroes. Sure, Dean had a few worries, some of them he thought the heroes wouldn't take the job seriously, but it didn't matter to Dean, if he could get strong warriors, then they'd be strong enough to seal Lucifer away for good. The colt needed to be protected, and there was only one way to do that.
