The first thing Evelyn registered as her mind stirred awake was the warm grip of strong arms clinging around her waist and the soothing sound of Sirius's rhythmic breathing filling her ears. A faint smile grew on her lips as she forced her sleepy eyes open.

Wait, this wasn't right?

Blinking wildly in hopes of reorienting the eyes that must have been playing tricks on her, Evelyn focused on the duvet bunched at her lap. It was Emerald. It was most definitely not Sirius's and this was not the dorm she had fallen asleep in.

Evelyn shrieked, jumping from the bed, slipping on the corner of the blanket, and thanking Merlin that the head that popped up from the mattress was Sirius's and not some random Slytherin's.

"What the bloody hell, Evelyn?!" Sirius gasped, rubbing his eyes with his fists. It took his vision a few seconds to adjust to the lighting before those grey eyes grew wide. "Who the fucks bed is this?!"

Sirius popped up from the bed as quickly as Evelyn had, and nearly just as gracefully, his forehead slamming into the hardwood of the four-poster bed. He let out a pained groan, his hands clasping the spot that was sure to be turning black and blue within a few minutes. Evelyn gasped as she crawled over the bed to reach him, moving his hands away to get a glimpse of the injury herself.

"Yeah, that's gonna leave a mark," She cringed.

"I think I'll live," Sirius responded groggily, the effects of sleep still not completely pushed from his mind. "Now, can you please explain to me why we're in a Slytherin dorm?"

With her mind now roused, rationality seemed to no longer be evading Evelyn's mind as she digested the situation. "We—We must be dreaming."

"Ohhhhhh," Sirius drawled. "Yeah, that makes a lot more sense than what I was thinking..."

"What were you thinking?"

Running his hands through his dark curls, Sirius seemed to contemplate telling her but swiftly decided against it. "You know, it's probably best that I don't say it out loud."

Knowing the sorts of things her boyfriend tended to conjure up in his mind, Evelyn accepted his answer with no protests. Instead, she wandered the dormitory, taking in the minimal and nearly-spotless furnishing. There was no way this dorm had been lived in—even the tidiest of students would have at least left a few books and a trunk somewhere.

"Why do you think we're here?" Evelyn asked. They almost always had a choice in the destination of their dreams, and it was safe to say that neither of them would have willingly chosen this.

Sirius shrugged, "Your guess is as good as mine." She couldn't help but notice that he remained shirtless, his crimson sweatpants hanging indecently low on his hips...
