With the first few weeks of classes under her belt, Evelyn was starting to fall into a comfortable routine at her new school.

Naturally, her Hogwarts routine differed in many ways from her old one, however, her mornings had become eerily similar to those of her Ilvermorny days.

"Holly... Holly..."

"Ar-rguh"

"Holly, c'mon. We're gonna be late for breakfast!"

"Ju-just five more... five more minutes, m-mom."

Evelyn giggled, tugging on the pillow that Holly had clutched over her head.

"I'm not your mom, you goober," Evelyn whispered, careful not to wake Meg and Flora, her other dormmates. Holly's grip on her pillow was strong but not strong enough, for Evelyn had snatched it within a few seconds, playfully swatting her with it in the process.

Holly struggled to pry open her eyes as the sun shone brightly into the foliage-filled room. She, however, did not struggle in sending an annoyed glare over to Evelyn, who was smiling innocently.

"You're lucky you're my friend, Evelyn Berman because if you weren't I'd transfigure you into a toad right now," Holly grumbled, attempting to roll her body out of the cozy bed. Evidently, her legs were not on the same page as the rest of her, because as she lifted herself from the mattress, the top half of her body tumbled to the floor unsupported by the lower half.

"Oww," Holly groaned, remaining on the floor as her right hand searched the top of the nightstand next to her. "Where's my wand?"

"Oh!" Evelyn promptly remembered, moving swiftly over to her bed, taking care to not trip over her friend's sprawled-out body as she did so. She dug underneath her pillow, pulling out a slender, cedar wand with a sleek, curvy handle at the bottom. "Here you go! I hid it in case you decided to take your toad transfiguration threat seriously this time," she said, handing the wand over to its owner.

Limb by limb, Holly's body struggled up from its position on the floor, and once fully standing, her eyes met the face of her light-blue alarm clock.

6:53 am.

"Evelyyyyn," she whined, turning toward the tall brunette whose mouth was formed into an even larger, more angelic smile than before. "I thought you said we were gonna be late for breakfast?!"

"Well..." Evelyn began, avoiding eye contact with Holly as she fiddled with her fingers. "We aren't going to be late for actual breakfast, per se, but we could be late for the best part of breakfast if we don't hurry. You know, the part where there's hardly anyone in there, and we have most of the table to ourselves. And, it's quiet and no one's rushing, and—"

"Okay!" Holly cut her off recognizing the defeat and also managing a giggle for the first time this morning. "Just give me five minutes and we'll head up."
