Chapter 23

"Jake!"

Cheryl said as they walked up to him and his mate.

"It's nice to see you after yesterday's events. Have you seen him yet?"

Jake answered the red headed girl.

"Not yet. We all are looking for him."

Veronica answered.

"Okay, what are we gonna do as soon as we find him?"

Ellie asked the others.

"Make sure to always know where he is and alarm the others."

Toni said while looking around the room an attempt to find Hal.

"Where are Betty and Jughead?"

Now Jake asked.

"Talking to allies. Betty seems to take her job as future luna very serious."

Veronica answered him.

Archie, Reggie and Jason stood at the other side of the room but only Archie was watching the black haired witch.

"Dude, you have to tell her that you like her."

Reggie told his best friend.

"I am not ready to do this yet and neither is she. Veronica only broke up with Mike last night."

The red haired boy answered as he shook his head while his friend sighed.

Not far from them Betty and Jughead talked to the alpha of the Boldmaw pack Elias.

"It was really nice meeting you but if you excuse me. I have to talk to my cousin real fast."

Betty told them as she kissed Jug's cheek and walked up to Veronica who has left Toni and Cheryl to look for Hal.

"B? What are you doing?"

She asked her cousin.

"I am gonna help you find my dad."

The blonde exclaimed as she took V's arm and they walked around the ball room.

"Where do you think he is?"

Veronica asked as they both tried to see above some people's heads.

"I don't know but he seems to be good at hiding. Jug and I have talked to a lot of packs already same as FP. "

Both of them sighed as they walked past some other werewolves who looked at them confused.

As werewolves have a good hearing Alice and Hermione put spells on everybody so nobody would hear what they said unless they want them to hear.

In another a little smaller room Ellie was about to fill herself and Jake a glass of champagne as she walked into somebody.

"I am so sorry-"

She started as she saw who stood in front of her.

Hal.

He smirked.

"Well such a beautiful lady really doesn't have to apologize."

Ellie smiled at him awkwardly while linking her mate.

'Jake come to the champagne buffett now. I found him.'

'I'm on my way, love. I am gonna bring Alice and Hermione.'

"So, sweetheart, what pack are you from?"

Hal wanted to start a conversation and Ellie didn't know what else to do except smiling awkwardly and answer.
