When the heart bleeds ~ Bughead

Chapter 33

It's been a week since FP and Jason had died and some were feeling better, some worse.

Jughead had started to work as he now was the alpha of the serpent pack, Toni the new beta and Sweet Pea the new gamma were helping him with everything he needed.

Just like Betty who was an emotional support to him, she didn't take over all of the responsibilities a luna had as she still had to learn about being a werewolf.

Jellybean was teaching her in an amazing way, the two girls got real close pretty fast.

Betty also took care of her mom, Cheryl and many others.

The whole witch coven was still here as they wanted to pay their respect to the two people who died.

Madylin was staying strong, she had been looking for flights to Florida hoping her family was still there.

Veronica didn't want her to go in a selfish way, the girl had been there for her when they were all alone.

She felt an instant conection with her similar to the one she had with Betty.

V knew that she was gonna miss Mads but at the same time she knew that she had to let her go.

During the last week they returned to the place where they fought and saw that every single body of the dead enemies were gone.

They decided to destroy everything they had found which could be related to the experiments the witches had to go through.

The property was now a ruin and they all left again.

It was a kind of good end, the witches were finally free and there was no need to worry anymore.

The present day was gonna be the hardest.

It was time for the funeral of both, Jason and FP.

That was a decision made by the vampires and werewolves.

They gave their life for the same reason, they both helped making this all end and most of all they were adored by the same people who couldn't go through this a second time.

Betty stood in her room she closed the cloth around her waist with a bow on her back.

The dress was, just like the cloth, black and had a pretty flowy skirt while the top laid tight on B's skin.

The girl paired it with black heels and she waved her hair.

At last she put on a beautiful gold necklace Jason once gifted her.

Suddendly she heared a knock on the door and Betty quickly turned around.

In the doorframe stood Jughead in a nice black tux.

"Hey."

He said as he walked up to his girlfriend who had turned around to look at the mirror again.

Jug laid his arms around her waist and his head on her shoulder.

"Hey."

Betty answered.

"How are you?"

She asked.

"It's okay, I think I just haven't really realized it yet."

He answered her sighing.

"I know what you mean. It's like they are still here just not here, you know. It feels like they would walk through the door any moment now."

Betty turned around and put her hands around Jug's neck.

„I love you."

As Jughead had finished the three words Betty pressed her lips on his.

The kiss lasted a few seconds when they were interrupted by a fake cough.

„I am sorry if I am interrupting but we need to go."

Veronica said as her and Archie waited for the couple to take their things and walk out the room.

They drove the car to the location which was exactly between the borders of the Vampire's and the Werewolves' parts of the town.

Jellybean stood between Jughead and Betty as if they were her parents and in some weird way they kind of are.

As Jughead's mom had left and FP died he was now her guardian.

Betty also helped them as much as possible, she wanted to support Jughead and his family as much as he did.

She wanted him to feel as loved and appreciated as she did all the time.

They walked up to the two caskets and sat into the first row.

Betty took Jug's hand and squeezed it.

She herself felt bad too, her cousin died but also she knew how to deal with her grief.

And even though Jug wasn't doing anything activly he helped her a lot.

The ceremony started and after some time the speeches came up.

Not many were allowed to as it wasn't really a tradition.

First there was Jughead then Jellybean and then another werewolf Betty didn't know.

After that Cheryl, Penelope and Clifford held a speech.

The funeral was over 3 hours and after that there was a dinner.

All together it took a lot of time and Betty almost couldn't remember anything.

They laughed and cried a lot and they shared memories.

But then there was a lot of wine and champagne and Betty woke up naked next to Jughead.

She rubbed her head and realized how bad her headache was.

The blonde kissed her boyfriend on the cheek and then got out of bed to get herself some painkillers.

Downstairs she found her two cousins sitting at the table.

"Good morning."

Betty said as she swallowed the painkillers and drank a glass of water.

"Good morning."

It came from the other two girls.

The tribrid sat down and looked at the others:

"It's been an incredible journey right?"

"It really has been."

Veronica answered her.

Cheryl just nodded.

"There's something I've been meaning to tell you guys."

V continued.

Both C and B looked at her surprised.

"I talked to the witches we freed and they asked me to be the leader of their coven."

Cheryl was falling into her arms within a tenth of a second.

"You said yes, didn't you? This is such a great opportunity for you."

Betty asked.

"Of course I did."

Veronica laughed while tears started to form in her eyes.

"Now we all have a major responsibility.

Me as the next leader of the vampire coven, B as a luna and now V as the leader of the witch coven."

Cheryl stated excitedly.

"It's crazy how everything worked out for us.

A few months ago I didn't think that this was ever gonna happen.

Mom still isn't in her best state just as aunt Penelope and uncle Clifford and Jughead but after some time we will finally have what we never thought we would ever get.

A normal life at least as normal as it can be."

Betty told her girl friends.

"Cheers to that."

Veroncia said as they all raised their glasses with water and started to laugh a bit.
