Chapter 32

Coming home they were awaited by children, young mothers and Kevin who were very excited
until they saw the bodies.

Some of them started to cry, some of them went silent.

The reactions were heartbreaking and every werewolf was taken aback as they saw that their leader, their alpha died.

Then a girl ran up to them maybe 13/ 14 years old.

"Jug!"

Jughead let Betty's hand go and hugged the girl really tight and she saw tears running down his face.

"Where's dad?"

She asked when she let go of the hug.

"Jelly, I am so sorry."

Jughead started.

"No-o."

Tears started to form in Jellybeans eyes.

She hugged her brother again and didn't seem as she wanted to let him go ever again.

As nobody didn't really know what to do they all went to the pack house.

Two werewolf packs, a witch coven, a vampire coven and the Smith/Lodge family.

"Jughead?"

A werewolf said and the now alpha turned around.

"Yes?"

He answered still in shock of the events that had taken place.

"Do you want to plan the funeral and the ceremony alone or do you want the pack to prepare it?"

Jughead didn't seem to think about it and in his situation no one said something about it.

"Let the pack prepare it."

He said as he took his little sister's, Jellybean's, hand.

Then he laid his other hand on Betty's waist.

Everybody was talking to everyone as if nothing had happened but they knew soon they would really realize what or who they lost.

Elli and Jake talked to Betty, Jughead and Jellybean to express their pity.

Archie and Veronica finally expressed their feelings for each other.

They were closer than ever and didn't let go of each other as if if they won't touch anymore one of them would disappear.

Toni on the other hand was trying to take care of Cheryl.

Cheryl was in a bad state, she just lost her twin.

The one person who was with her since the beginning.

The one she had played pranks with.

Her soulmate, the person she trusted most.

His death will be hardest on her.

Betty realized soon that not only Jughead but also Cheryl lost a very important person.

She hugged her mate one last time and then walked up to her cousin and Toni.

„Hey."

She said when she felt Cheryl falling into her arms.

Betty knew that there wasn't anything she could do to make her feel better so she just hugged her and ran her hands through the girl's red hair.

Only a few meters away from them Madylin walked up to Veronica.

"Hey."

"Oh my god, I am so sorry, I totally forgot that you didn't know anyone besides me."

V answered as she for once let Archie go and laid her arms around her new friend.

"No problem, you just lost very important people."

"Yeah, I just haven't really realized it yet."

Archie left and walked up to his friends while V and Mads still talked.

"So what are you gonna do now?"

Madylin asked her.

"I don't know, we have to prepare a funeral and then maybe have some time for myself, I really need that."

She laughed a bit:

"What are you gonna do?"

Madylin sighed.

"I'll definitely stay for the funeral if that's okay.

I am just really thankful and I want to pay my respect.

And then I'll probably search for my family, maybe they still remember me."

Veronica was relieved that Madylin was still gonna stay a bit even though she knew that she will have to say goodbye soon.

"Of course you can stay, I would love to have you stay with me and I am sure your family will be more than happy to see you again."

„Thank you."

Madylin answered her and the girls linked their arms and walked up to Betty, Toni and Cheryl.

C had calmed down a bit.

„This is crazy."

Veronica said as they all stood next to each other.

„What do you mean?"

Toni asked.

„A few months ago B and I had no real family, no home to go to and now look at us, yes we have lost people and yes I am still sad about that but seeing how much our family expanded, how many amazing people we got to know and the memories we share.

We have to honor FP and JJ but they wouldn't want us to cry about it too much.

They would want us to honor the friends, relationships and memories we have."

When V finished all the girls hugged crying a little.

Even though all of them hugged each other so so often that day no one could get enough.

That night everyone went home.

The Smiths/ Lodges took in Madylin and went home.

Jughead didn't want to join, he wanted to spend the night with the only family he had left, Jellybean.

The other pack stayed with the serpents and the witches were able to make themselves a home in Thistlehouse a house which the vampires own.

Archie, Reggie, Cheryl, C's parents, the other vampires, Betty's brothers and their pack and even Toni ran home to Thornhill.

The night wasn't easy for Betty and Alice.

Alice didn't know what to do.

Her mate died in front of her eyes and she hadn't been able to do anything about it.

And Betty was worrying about Jughead.

Jughead who had lost his mom and now his dad.

Jellybean with her sweet 13 years had to survive the loss of her parents.
