When the heart bleeds ~ Bughead

Chapter 26

After about 3 hours they finally finished the spell and FP, Jughead, Toni, Cheryl, Jason and Archie were allowed to enter the room again.

"And?"

Archie said you could see how nervous and excited he was to find Veronica.

"Well, they aren't far away-"

Alice started but then was interrupted by sighs of relive.

The witch glared at them and continued:

„We can't track them a hundert percent because he is hiding the property with magic but we will hopefully be able to find them."

A feeling of hope and a little bit of happiness was rushing through the room but then faded quickly.

„So what are we gonna do now?"

Toni wanted to know while squeezing Cheryl's hand assuring her that everything was gonna be fine.

„We are going to wait-"

Alice started again but was interrupted by Archie AGAIN:

„Yeah no."

„If you would have let me finish, you'd know that we'd just wait until my sons are back with backup and we are gonna call Jake.

So he'll bring his pack to bring down Hal once and for all."

Archie was intimidated by the witch and decided to keep his mouth shut.

Veronica was going insane.

She hasn't been in this cell for long but she couldn't take it anymore.

Madylin was asleep in the cell next to her and that didn't help at all.

The young witch told her that ‚they' would come by every day and choose someone to experiment on.

But the loud noise from the old door which should definitely be replaced soon still surprised and also kinda scared her.

„Who do you want to take today?"

One of the werewolves told when they entered the hall Madylin and Veronica were in.

„Why don't we-"

The other one said, his voice was certainly deeper and more raspy than the first one's.

„Take the new one."

He continued as he sat down a bit and looked into Veronica's cell.

The girl didn't really recognize that they were talking about her until the first one started to speak again.

She couldn't see them as it was pretty dark but she heard their voices loud and clear.

„Not a good idea.

The boss said that he needs her to get 3528, her brothers and his wife back."

That was the moment Veronica knew who they were talking about and she decided to listen to them a bit more.

„Ugh, she would have been fun. Let's just take the one next to her."

The second guy said and V started to panic she had just met Madylin and already adored her.

But she calmed down again when she saw that they opened the cell on her right.

Madylin was in the cell on her left.

And then she heared it.

Screams.

An older woman was taken out of the cell screaming.

It looked like she knew what was gonna happen in there and was terrified.

Veronica was overwhelmed.

The information she got the last few hours and the pain she lived through was horrible.

She wanted to get out of there but then again remembered that her cuffs were soaked in vervain.

Many think vervain only hurts vampires but it hurts every supernatural being.

The last few hours have been hell for the young witch and the only thing she looked forward to was talking to Madylin.

Knowing that her family and her friends weren't gonna be able to find her that soon even though she hoped made her appreciate Madylin even more.

‚Finding friends in prison' she thought.

That reminded her of a movie her and Betty watched once.

She didn't remember the name but it was one of the amazing memories she had with her cousin.

Veronica loved Betty and that in more than a romantic way.

They would never date but living without each other?

That could never happen.
