When Betty saw who the werewolves were bringing in her whole world was shredded in pieces.
I front of her stood the girl who has always been by her side.
The one she would talk to if she didn't feel good.
The one person that meant the world to her.
Veronica.
The V to her B.
In that moment tears started to form in her eyes and her vision started to get blurry.
"Let her free!"
She said as she went up to her father.
"I am sorry darling but if you don't come with me, she does."
Hal smirked at her.
"I am not going with you."
She said trying to stay strong, trying to ignore her aunt crying behind her, trying to get her best friend back.
"Well too bad."
With that they were gone and Betty fell on the floor crying while Jughead wrapped his armes around her.
He let his mate cry into his shoulder as he was looking around to find a clue where they'd go.
A few minutes later all of them were still standing frozen and nobody has said a word.
At least until Ashton decided it would be for the best to fly back to Riverdale.
To make a plan and to rescue Veronica.
Hermione hasn't said anything as her sister laid her arm around her to bring her to the car.
Betty didn't have an idea how long ago it was that she lost her best friend and she didn't even want to know.
She has been in a zone, it was like she wasn't even here.
Jughead was worried about her but he didn't really know how she was feeling.
Yes, he lost his mom, but he doesn't really love her anymore as she left them and didn't even want to contact him so he knew it was better without her.
Cheryl has also been really quite.
Her and Betty both sat next to each other in the privat jet they booked (I have no idea if you can do that) and spent most of the time looking out of the window.
The 'vacation' to New York ended way different than they thought.
Betty didn't know what to think.
Veronica has been by her side forever and not spending time with her 24/7 was weird.
When they were younger and moving all the time they never had friends as they knew they wouldn't stay long.
They spent all the time together and rarely fought.
Betty didn't know what to feel at one hand everything was was so clear and on the other she saw it all blurry.
She saw her aunt crying, her mom trying to help her sister and everybody else just staring.
Losing Veronica was a huge shock and without her presence everything felt empty.
The blonde had memories going through her brain.
All their memories, all their secrets, all their birthday parties, all the other parties and every single heart break.
They've been there for each other just like their mothers and they didn't think they'd ever be apart.
Flying back was the best decision they could have made but for Cheryl and Betty it was another clue that Veronica wasn't there.
Both of them got upstairs and locked themselves into Veronica's room.
Lavender colored walls were around them while they were laying in the queen sized bed on the opposite side of the door.
On their left side there was a white closet and on their right side there was table and a chair.
On the table was a mirror, Veronica loved doing her make up there rather than doing her homework.
All around them there were pictures.
Pictures of them as babies, as kids and also newer ones.
Selfies from when they first came to Riverdale.
Photos from when they were on parties in New York or when they were on the beach in LA.
Tears were streaming down their eyes and none of the two girls said a word.
After some time B and C hugged each other tight and fell asleep.
Just so they would wake up from a loud knocking on the door.
"Cher? Betts?"
Jason.
He slowly opened the door to see the two girls waking up with their arms wrapped around each other.
"It's 1 pm. You should wake up now."
Jason looked at them trying to smile but they could tell it was fake.
Betty nodded getting up from the bed and walking downstairs.
The others sat downstairs in the living room when Betty walked into the room all the eyes were on her.
She didn't look good.
Her hair was all messy and her eyes red and puffy.
Jughead got up from his place on the sofa to wrap his arms around her just so she'd break down again.
Not even a minute later Jason and Cheryl came in to see all the others.
They waited a few minutes so everyone would calm down a little.
"I-i think we should, ähm, we should start with tracking Hal."
Alice said as she took her arms of Hermione.
"And then-n, just, you know, see where he and Veronica are so we can make a plan."
