Veronica totally lost track of time in this dark cell.

Madylin had been an amazing company and neither of them had been chosen to come with ‚them'.

It's crazy how these two girls went from complete strangers to something you could call friends.

Veronica told her neighbor in the other cell about her family, her best friends and her life before she came here and Madylin.

Madylin helped V through all of that.

She thought her how to move without getting hurt by the vervain, how to ration her food so it'd last and how to keep her hunger down.

But still.

Veronica's hope was fading.

No one has come for her yet and she was tired of waiting.

V was lucky.

Don't get it wrong of course her situation was bad but she had never been taking god knows where where they'd do horrible things to her.

She heard screams every now and then and it hurt her.

Hearing these screams of pain and not being able to do anything about it was heartbreaking.

It had just been another night or at least Veronica thought it was night when she heard a loud noise.

A few days or maybe even weeks ago she wouldn't have really cared about any noises but being here made her be alert.

The noise got louder and louder and V tried her best at waking up Madylin but she seemed to be sound asleep.

Then the door opened.

And there was nothing.

Suddenly with a loud bang the door closed.

V didn't make a sound maybe it was because she was in shock or because she thought it was ‚them'.

When Mads, that's what V started calling her, finally realized what was going on they looked at each other.

Neither of them knew what to do so they waited.

For what exactly they didn't know but that was the problem.

Not knowing what was going on was something V hated.

If it was a surprise birthday party that was being planned for her or even if she didn't know what her friends were talking about.

It made her feel insecure but in this case?

In this case she felt weak and small as if it was gonna be over soon.

Her hands were still cuffed to the wall, loose enough for her to move but tight enough so she couldn't free herself.

She held her breath which at first she didn't even realize.

Slowly the door to her cell opened.

2 hours before

Betty and Cheryl decided that they didn't want to wait anymore and wanted to go.

The cousins took two bags with them which contained simple things like guns and what else even though they were pretty sure they wouldn't use it but they felt safer when they took something with them.
