Chapter 25

They all decided to do it.

Hermione, Alice and Betty started to prepare the room to do the spell while Betty's brothers decided to involve their coven.

So they were going to leave for 2 days and come back with at least 12 other vampires.

Jughead tried to help Betty as much as possible but he didn't really succeed.

Everything he did to make her smile worked for maybe a few seconds but then the blonde was thinking about her cousin again.

The future alpha had never experienced anything like that before.

All he knew was that the mate bond was the strongest existing bond but maybe that wasn't true at all.

The way Betty missed Veronica was heartbreaking and you could see that the two were soulmates.

B and V were soulmates.

Jughead knew that for Betty there wasn't a more important person than Veronica and for her the same.

Realizing that was hard at first but he knew that they meant so much to each other that he had only admired their bond.

Which also made him think about his little sister.

Jellybean.

Or JB that's what she wanted to be called anyways.

He never really had a lot of time to spend with her.

Learning how to lead a pack and finding his mate was on his mind mostly.

He regretted not having such a good and tight relationship with her when he saw how important Veronica was to Betty.

Maybe even more than her brothers.

Of course he would never say that out loud as he was a little scared of them but seeing that they weren't around as much as Veronica and Hermione it would make a lot of sense.

He had a lot on his mind just like Betty and Cheryl and Toni.

After some time he wondered if Kevin already knew about what had happened and if he was on his way here.

Did he even know that they were back?

Jughead's thoughts turned back to Veronica and not in a inappropriate way but in a way you worry about your friend.

What he didn't know was that she was experiencing the worst pain of her life.

Her hand were cuffed to a wall while her chains were soaked in vervain.

The cell she was in was dark the only way a light came through was a window almost touching the ceiling.

Veronica's wrists hurt a lot and she was exhausted.

She only woke up a few minutes ago but the transport made her powers weak.

They have probably used a lot of vervain was her first thought but now all she wanted was water a simple glass of water.

She screamed a while when she heard a weak voice.

"You don't even have to try. They are not gonna come."

Veronica was confused as she didn't see anyone.

"We get food and water every two days. The next ration is tomorrow."

The weak voice explained again.

"Where are you?"

The black haired witch asked.

"In the cell next to you."

Veronica looked around for a few moments when she finally saw the girl's silhouette:

"Who are you?"

"Madylin. My name is Madylin. I'm from Florida."

The girl, Madylin, answered.

"For how long have you been here?"

Ronni was wondering, she couldn't guess how old Madylin was but something told her that they weren't too different.

"I came here when I was about 11 and now I'm 15 so I guess 4 years?"

She heard her saying.

"You've been here for 4 years? We have to get out!"

V only heard a sigh.

"I've tried many times but nothing worked."

"What are they even doing with us? And who are 'they'?"

"Well all I know is that Hal is a hybrid and the alpha of this pack and they are experimenting on us."

"What?!"

Veronica was shocked.

"Yeah, something about making sure the witch genes are strong and whatever."

Madylin answered.

"So every child of a witch will also have powers and he can make it possible to have tribrids."

V muttered under her breath but Madylin heard her.

"Yeah, exactly."

"Oh, shit!"

The black haired witch said as she had pulled on the chains and the vervain hurt her even more.

"What do you mean it will take some time!"

Archie almost freaked out as he got told that the spell wouldn't be that easy and would take a few hours.

Everybody had the suspicion that he had a thing for Veronica but now they are sure.

„If you calm down now Archie, we can get to it."

Alice said as she walked over to Betty and Hermione who sat on the floor of the living room.

In front of them were things Jughead didn't know what they were but they definitely were important to find Hal and Veronica.

The witches started to hold each other's hands and started saying Latin words.

FP, Jughead, Toni, Cheryl, Jason and Archie stood near them not knowing what to do when suddenly they heard something crash and all the lights got off.

„We have to try again."

Hermione said.

„All of you get out. We will tell you as soon as we have their location."

Alice added and a few seconds later the witches were alone.

And they tried again.
