In my head, I do everything right
When you call, I'll forgive and not fight

SAPNAP

What the fuck did I do?

Sapnap was hit by a wave of feelings he knew all too well.

He just wanted to talk to him, that's all he ever wanted to do with Karl.

Of course he had a crush on Karl, but if friends was all he wanted to be; Sapnap would do that to the best of his ability.

He always fucked it up. He never should've hooked up with Quackity in the first place (he'd only done it out of spite).
The anger he felt when he saw Alex kiss Karl... it'd been a long time since any one person had made him feel things that strongly.

He thought about all the other shit he'd done that morning, following Karl into the showers, then proceeding to hook up with Quackity right in front of him.
He couldn't even remember why he thought that was a good idea.
He was probably drunk, he was always drunk.
He hated it, he hated himself for it.
The only time he didn't hate himself was when he was drunk.

But he wasn't drunk just then. He wasn't drunk when he'd walked into the laundry room with no intention of doing laundry. He wasn't drunk when he kissed Karl.

He hadn't gone in there to kiss him. He just wanted to clarify things and apologize. He couldn't stand the idea of him causing Karl's pain. But when Karl looked at him like that he couldn't control himself.

Now he realized how much more pain he probably caused Karl by storming off with no explanation. He knew he had to talk to him.
But I can't ever seem to do that right, can I?

He reached into the glove compartment and pulled out his pack of cigarettes, lighting one and popping it between his lips before shifting gears and stepping on the gas.

KARL

A day had passed and Karl had decided not to think about the logic.

Logically he shouldn't get too wrapped up in what had happened because Sapnap was a spotty person he shouldn't trust Sapnap. But he could not shake it from his thoughts. Everytime he blinked he saw Sapnap's face.
He saw him lean in.
He watched his lips.

He was obsessed, and he didn't feel like hating himself for it. At least for right now, he was going to savor those images. He even thought about jacking off to it later.

He layed in his bed staring at the ceiling, half way humming along to the music coming from George's phone. He liked Sundays

In my head, I play a supercut of us

The song's lyrics were eerily relevant.

He decided to focus on the good stuff.

So he got lost in the imaginary world in his head where Sapnap hadn't stormed out of the laundry room. Where he'd pick Karl up and Karl would cling onto him like a child. Where he'd sit Karl down on top of the washing machine and kiss him till he passed out.

But it was cut short by a knock on the door. George paused the video game he was playing to go answer it, he'd been sitting on the couch so he was closer.

"Hey George, is Karl here?" Karl's eyes shot open at the voice.

"Uh, yeah but you might not wanna talk to him, he seemed kind of pissed at you yesterday."

"Oh we're fine now," Sapnap lied, "we talked."

We screamed at each other then you kissed me and stormed off, I wouldn't really count that as "talking."

"Come in then, I guess," Karl heard George's feet shuffle, moving to the side, making space for Sapnap to enter the room.

Karl sat up in the bed straightening out his t-shirt and ruffling his hair in a desperate attempt to make himself presentable.

"Uh, h-hey Nick."
Fuck.

Karl's voice faltered as he spoke, and he was unable to make eye contact. But he could tell Sapnap was smirking and that teasing glimmer had returned to his eyes. He's probably just high. But Karl didn't care, he'd missed this Sapnap.

"Hey buddy," Sapnap liked to treat Karl like a five year old, and to be honest Karl didn't mind. He bushed at the honorific.

Karl was finally able to make eye contact with him. He was met with the same look he'd seen from Sapnap when he'd watched him dance like an idiot on the stage at the party. It made Karl smile, which in turn made the smirk on Sapnap's lips grow.

George cleared his throat, breaking Karl and Sapnap's staring contest. Karl shot him a look begging him to leave.

"I live here too, you know?" George resumed his video game.

"Wanna go for a drive?"

Logically Karl knew it was a bad idea, but he'd already decided not to think about the logic.

He decided to focus on the good stuff.

"Yeah, sure."
