TW: self harm and mentions of rape

"You're so hot," It was the first thing that came to Sapnap's mind as his eyes flickered open.

Karl sat in the driver's seat of his car. His side profile was godlike in the dim lighting. Drops of moonlight highlighted his face.

Nick touched his eyebrow pulling his hand back down to find his finger coated in blood. The hazy memories started to take shape eventually forming a full shape and reminding Sapnap of the night's events.

"That's all you can say?" Karl kept his eyes trained on the road ahead of him.

"Hey, I saved your ass," Nick immediately regretted joking about what had happened.

Karl gulped at that comment, nervously shifting in his seat.

"Sorry, that was too far," Sapnap's voice softened, and he shifted his gaze to the road ahead of him.

They turned into the parking lot of the dorm building.

"We're not friends," Karl interjected as he stepped out of the car, "just so you know."

"Ok," Nick attempted to stand, failing and falling back down to the seat.

Karl walked around to his side of the car. He grabbed Nick's arm, hooking it around his shoulder, and helping him up.

"We're not friends," Karl repeated his statement from earlier, "but you did save me.... so thank you."

Karl refused to make eye contact with him.

"It's nothing, no one should have to go through that," Sapnap explained, hobbling over to the door with Karl's help.

"Yeah but I kind of walked into that one, right?" Karl thought aloud. "Andy Adams, what the fuck was I thinking," he said to himself.

They began making their way up the stairs to the third floor.

"Hey, it's not your fault, ok?" Sapnap's eyes sympathized.

"Don't play the hero now, okay," Karl raised his voice, "you don't get to stand me up then expect things to just go back to normal."

Um.. George and Dream invited us to breakfast tomorrow

The memories came flooding back to Sapnap. Of course, he'd gone out after that. He'd gotten wasted and forgot all about agreeing to go to breakfast.

Seriously? Why would he ever like you, Nick? God your so fucking inconsistent. He's never going to choose you when you choose drugs over him everytime.

The voice in his head chewed him up. It's farmiliar mantras of self hatred echoed through his mind.

"I'm sorry," he knew the apology held barely any weight but it was the least he could do.

Karl hummed in response, opening the door to his room, and leading him inside. He sat Sapnap down on the couch before stepping in the bathroom to find the first aid kit. The drawers were painfully unorganized, but after a few minutes of rummaging he found the small box.

He returned to Sapnap, crouching down in front of him to begin tending to his wounds. He dabbed the cut with a damp rag eliciting a wince from Nick at the sting.

"Damn, take it easy." Sapnap shifted in his seat.

"Well I've got to get it clean," Karl argued back.
