He hadn't talked to Dream since Wednesday. It wasn't like them to fight, and Karl had to admit it made him worry. There was a strange feeling in his stomach, almost like guilt, but he decided to blame it on turbulence.

His mind didn't linger on Clay for long. Sapnap squeezed his hand, quickly pulling him out of his temporary trance. He was pulled back to reality. His attention drawn to the weight of Nick's hand in his own.

"You're fine, I'm right here," Karl reassured Sapnap.

They had talked alot yesterday. Karl enjoyed getting to know Sapnap. He had alot of quirks. There were so many little things with him.

He was terrified of heights, and planes, and the ocean. No wonder he's so reliant on drugs, Karl thought. He couldn't imagine having such strong feelings about so many things. It'd be far too overwhelming.

So far he had stuck to his word. Karl could tell he'd been clean, at least for the past week. He'd made sure to let Sapnap know how proud of him he was for that. It meant more to Karl than he could ever know.

As they were discussing these matters, the plane ride had come up. It was brought to Karl's attention that Sapnap hadn't rode on a plane sober in at least ten years. Karl knew he shouldn't find Sapnap being scared as adorable as he did, but he honestly couldn't help it. Seeing tough, old Sapnap bite his nails out of nervousness made him smile.

He laughed to his self.

"What could you possibly be laughing at?" Karl could hear the anxiety in Sapnap's voice.

"I'm happy," he replied without even thinking.

Ten minutes into the flight they were both out. They had fallen asleep with Karl's head rested on Sapnap's shoulder.

His jaw dropped when they pulled up to the cabin. A beautiful house sat tucked away behind the trees.

"You didn't tell me you're fucking rich," Karl's eyes widened at the beauty of the house.

"Watch your language, baby," Sapnap changed the subject of Karl's comment.

Karl rolled his eyes. "Oh, whatever, dad."

Sapnap parked, closing his door unnecessarily loud as he stepped out.

"That's daddy to you," Sapnap raised his eyebrows as he opened the door for Karl.

Karl playfully punched his arm as he stepped out of the car, scolding him for the comment.

Sapnap carried his bags inside for him without being asked.

"You're such a gentlemen," Karl had teased.
