My smile is so wide it's about to crack my face.
"That's yours?" He asks still wonderstruck.
"Yeap, I built it. It my pride and joy."
"You built it?"
"Well, I rebuilt it actually. Bought the main part on ebay and found the rest in junk yards and ebay.
"It's a Kawasaki Ninja 250r, high performance parallel twin four-stroke engine with a displacement of 249 cc. high performance brakes, brake pads, multi piston calipers, and quite economic." I say.He is still standing there agape and flabbergasted. "I have no idea what you just said but...holy fuck. I wanna ride it."
I laugh, full-on, body-bending, belly cackle. "There is no way in hell you are riding Axl."
"The name of you bike is Axl?"
"Damn right it is."
He laugh. "Let me guess, your car is Slash?"
"Witch!" I exclaim before moving to the motorcycle seat to retrieve the two helmets from inside the compartment. "I built it when I was 16 with the help of my mom's best friend's sons. They helped carry the big stuff."
"Wow, you are truly talented."
"Thanks." I pass over the helmet to him. "Trust me with your life?" Somehow my words have a double entendre.
"I think so." He says meeting my eye as he puts on his helmet.
My leg crosses the other side of the bike, straddling it and I out in the key on the ignition and it revs. Dear God, this is almost as good as Kellan's kisses. Almost. I rev it a bit more and I feel the adrenaline surge. "Hope in." I yell back as I feel his form slipping in behind me. His heat radiates to me, mis musky scent engulfing me. I hope he doesn't make my mind cloud, at least not that much.
His hands and arms band around my middle and he whispers in my ear, all sultry and sweet. "I'm at your mercy."
I back out the garage then press a small button on the bike panel making the garage close. "Are you ready?" I ask As I straighten out the bike.
"I was born ready."
He hasn't taken a breath after his last word before I am accelerating. His arms tighten around me as I rev even more. It has been way too long since the last time I rode Axl. With ease, I drive past cars, in between cars at 70 kph. Yes, I'm a bit wild but that is nothing for me.
I'm taking him to a place I can only go on my bike. Driving to Chicago's outskirts, I smile. Nobody knows about the motorcycle, not even Sylvain, not Carson, Ash or Dom. Only Kellan and Sylvain's dynamic quartet though they swear I sold it all those years ago when in reality I rented a small storage deposit from a place near our house an I'd ride it every now and then until I got to perfection. It's a secret I only share with him. Finally I arrive to the place, it's a huge eight story parking lot and I know he'll have a blast as I go up the circular levels. When I get to the entrance I stop, turning back to him. "When I stick my leg out, I need you to do the same okay?"
"What are you about to do? Are you insane? You drive 100 kph!"
I laugh. "You nervous?"
"No, I trust you."
Somehow those four words warm my heart more than those three empty words I've heard from other. "I was driving 70 kph maybe I get to 80 here. So for every curve, you stick out your leg, but don't let your feet touch the ground. Got it?"
