Ryanne
This past week has been rather hectic. My work hours are killing me, the upcoming projects are about to make me combust I don't know how I am handling my shit. Friday is finally here and even though I should be relaxing enjoying the other half of the day off, here I am working on my Design for class.
I haven't seen anyone but Brad this week. It was weird catching up with him at the coffee shop when he went in. The moment a small smile lighted his face I knew with time our friendship would come to terms. In the little time we had to chat, he updated me on the latest escapades of the Donovan brothers and soon was on his way.
I haven't even seen my neighbor though I have heard him. Sometimes, as I go to class or my morning jog, music is pouring through his door or at night as I've taken out the trash you can hear guitar strings being softly played. I have noticed also that his car has been working very well.
My phone beeps, alerting me of a new text.
Dom: I'm outside.
The hell?
Standing up from my desk, I move to open up the door, and there she is.
"Dude!" I all but yell as I wrap my arms around her. She hugs me back tightly.
"Why did you leave last week without saying goodbye?" I chastise her.
"Sorry, Dean took me to the bus station right before he went to Kel's organization."
She moves to my kitchen, opening the cabinets until she finds my drugs. My cookies and cream hershey drops bags. Damn, there went my last one. She plops herself beside me outstretching her arm. I grab a handful and munch on the addictive chocolate perfection. "So," I start mid chews. "How are things with Dean going?"
She sighs dreamily as she props her feet on the coffee table. "He's the best."
"Because he looks like taken out of the Rolling Stones magazine instead of Esquire magazine?"
She nods. "He is different you know. I am so used to corporate guys who expect me to wear heels at all times, to act like a lady, to sit straight and use words like loo instead of bathroom. With Dean I can be myself. I can cuss and wear jeans and a baggy shirts and he'd still smile and give me the sweetest of kisses. He makes me smile with his goofiness and accepts my wit and sarcasm."
I smile at her at her wishful expression and the happiness radiating from her. "How long are you staying?" I ask her.
"I am actually here due to my wonderful job. I'm doing marketing for a new business around the area. So, I'll be here for a week tops."
"It feels wonderful having you here for a while."
"I know. I miss you guys too much."
"And we miss you darling."
After that, she asked some about my friendship with Kellan. I talked about how it was mostly non-existent but he seemed nice enough to want to actually become his friend.
Some time later Carson and Ashton joined us with two bottles of wine and chips with dips. We had a mini girls night in my living room. We laughed, cried and got so drunk Carson passed out. After that we called it a night, actually early, and they crashed at my place. Thank god my bed is king size. We all fit perfectly and amid giggles and hiccups fell asleep.

Knock, knock.
Shit. Who the hell has decided to cut back my sleeping hours?
