Three months

"Three months."

You turned around and look at him.

"Three months mean nothing to you do they?"

At this point your eyes were filled with tears but you wouldn't let them fall. You wouldn't let him see you cry, he lost the privilege to see you at a weak point.

"I mean I guess in the grand scheme of things, three months don't mean anything. Not when they're compared to 1,000 years worth of memories."

You start to walk around his room, picking up your things and throwing it in a bag. You open the drawer he gave you in his dresser, which was mostly full with his own shirts, and you almost lost it. For whatever reason, this moment was when you realized what was actually happening. After taking a moment to regain composure by biting your lower lip, you took the sliver of your own clothes out of the drawer.

"What are you doing?"

"I'm getting my stuff. Which won't include that anymore."

You gestured to your drawer while still picking up some of your random things.

"You can't just leave."

"I can and I will. I won't be in a relationship with someone like you."

"Please-"

"It took you a year!"

You turned around to face him so fast. You take a deep, shaky breath to keep composure.

"A year. It took you a year to admit your feelings for me. And then what? You just go out sticking your tongue down random girls throats."

You run both of your hands through your hair angrily.

"God, did you ever even love me at all? Or was that a lie too. Do the words 'I love you' mean nothing? Just like three months right?"

He opens his mouth to say something, but closes it as he debates on what to say. The two of you stand there in complete silence, just looking at each other. Suddenly, he gets the courage to speak.

"I love you."

"You don't. That's the problem Klaus."

"I do. I love you."

You shake your head, biting your lip again to attempt to try and not cry. It didn't work this time though and one tear fell down your cheek. You wiped it away quickly, your hands instantly returning to your bag.

"If you loved me, if a tiny part of you loved me, you wouldn't have hurt me like this."

You looked around one more time, remembering all the memories that this room held.

"In case this fight wasn't clear enough for you, we're done. If I forgot anything else, whatever you do with it is up to you."

You turned around, getting ready to leave the room. You walked to the doorframe when he stopped you by pulling on one of your wrists.

"Love-"

"Don't worry Klaus, your secret is safe with me. No one will know that your a hybrid."

"That's not what I was going to say."

"That's all that I can take right now."

Your voice cracked as you turned around to face him. You saw him break behind his eyes, behind his facade of being strong and emotionless. You watched as his eyes brimmed with tears.

"Telling you that your secret is safe, is all that I can take for today. Maybe in some other lifetime or universe we were meant to be, but it's not this one."

"Maybe."

"I'll see you around I guess, I mean Rebekah is still my best friend."

"Yeah, see you around Y/N. I'm sorry. I'm sorry I ruined this. Us, I'm sorry that I ruined us."

His voice was barely audible but you still heard him clearly.

"Yeah, me too."

AN- Ive been finding more and more time to write recently, but they're only for short increments of time which is why these have been pretty short.

I think when I find these small moments i'm going to stick to writing small imagines like this or writing a chapter for My Love. I don't really want to use that time for requests cause I don't think it's fair to you guys and I want your requests to be the best they can, and I just don't feel like I can do that with 5-10 minutes.

However, I have also been using that time to figure out exactly what is going to happen during imagines, so don't think I'm completely forgetting about you guys.

I also want to thank you guys for the continued support of this book and my others as well. It was very surprising to me that this book has over 100k reads.

Anyways, sorry for the long note I just wanted to update you guys on uploading and writing.
