Chapter 1-Book Two

                You and Luke were well into your trip; just about half way. You had gone sightseeing and still felt like there was so much more to explore. You sat idle on your phone outside a cafe while you waited for your husband to bring you breakfast from inside. You peaked up and you saw he was on the phone while he waited for your orders; it was probably his mom checking in on us. You looked back down and waited for a few more minutes before you were greeted with Luke’s yells as he raced towards you.

                “BABE,BABE, BABE,” he exclaimed, you had never seen a boy get so excited over breakfast foods but then again this was Luke we were talking about.

                “What, what, what Luke? “ You giggled, curious to know what was making your husband so excited.

                “We got the tour.”

                “What?” You were in shock.

                “We.Got.The.Tour.” he repeated

                “With One Direction?”

                “YES!” He picked you up and twirled you.

                He sat you down “That’s amazing Luke!” You had always been Luke’s biggest supporter and knew he would make something of himself one day, something big, this was it.

                “When does it start?” you questioned wanting to know more details.

                “Well that’s the thing, I need to head out to London tomorrow to meet up with the lads so we can work out details with one directions management and get exact dates,” he looked at you with his sad puppy dog face, “ So I need to cut the honeymoon short.” You felt a small pit in your stomach but you two had spent over a week here already and this was something big. “I understand, “you smiled and kissed his cheek, “I’ll head home tomorrow as well, and you too London.” He smiled at you.

                “I knew you’d understand.”

                You two got back to the hotel room, booked your separate flights to separate countries and began packing up. You were so happy Luke was getting to fulfill his dreams with his best friends.

                As the night drew to a close you got dressed for bed and cuddled next to your husband, whose side you’d be leaving for the first time since you two got engaged, at least for a prolonged period of time; Luke didn’t really know how long he’d be gone until he got there. You had to get used to it though because if he was touring, which he was, you would have to get used to not seeing your husband for months at a time. It was going to be rough.

                Before you knew it you were fast asleep and it was morning in what seemed like minutes.

                You were awoken by Luke and your alarm to get up and head for the airport. You held his hand the whole time there.

                After you both got passed security you walked him to his gate, his flight was leaving first. You felt a lump form in your throat as you fought back the tears threatening to spill out of your  eyes. Luke didn’t say much he just held you tight. You loved him so much.

                They began calling passengers to board the plane and he pulled you into the tightest hug possible. Then he kissed you.

                “Sarah, I love you so much, I’ll be back before you know it so try not to miss me to much okay?”

                “Okay…I’ll try Luke,” you choked out.

                “I love you…” you could hear his voice crack; he too was trying not to cry.

                “I love you too Luke, have a safe flight.”

                “You too baby, “he blew you a kiss as he walked away. When they finally closed the plane door you could barely keep yourself together. You didn’t want to look like a freak breaking down in the middle of the airport though, but a few tears did manage to escape.

                You walked to the other side of the airport to where your gate was located and pulled out your laptop while you waited another hour for your flight to leave. You sighed as you opened and it and the screen came to life, the background picture was you and Luke at your wedding. You were going to miss him so much…

                After an hour of reading fan fiction and endless scrolling of social media platforms it was finally time for you to board. You were anxious to be home, but you just wished it was with Luke. Once the plane took off you retrieved your laptop again and began watching movies to pass the time of the flight, you hoped it went by fast.
