The week leading up to your appointment was hard, lonely, and not to mention stressful. This was one of the hardest times in your life and you were doing your best to face it alone. You missed Luke so much and the thought that you could be pregnant with his child scared the crap out of you; the fact that you could be pregnant at all scared you. Over the week you went to work, ate dinner, and researched parenting; freaking yourself out even more, for all you knew you could not even pregnant. You still hadn’t heard from Luke, you missed him and wanted to tell him everything.

The morning of your appointment you decided to leave your house earlier than needed, you wanted, no you needed to tell Luke everything; not only did you need to tell someone and he was your best friend but it could be his child he deserved the right to know. Maybe he was missing him as much as you were missing him. You got ready and headed the familiar way you had driven for years till you arrived in front of his house. It was still early afternoon so you hoped he’d be awake. You rang the bell and knocked; waiting for him to answer.

About a minute or so later the door opened and you expected to be greeted by the sight of your best friend, but instead you were surprised to see a tall brunette that you had never met before around your age in Luke’s shirt and nothing else.

“Um… can I help you?” she seemed bitchy

“Hi is Luke here?” I tried to be polite as possible.

“He’s asleep right now, we had a long night last night,” she smirked.

“Oh I see, well I should go,” you turned to leave

“Yeah, that’d probably be best. “The mystery woman closed the door and I left.

Your blood was boiling! He obviously was fine without you; going there was a mistake and it was probably for the best if he didn’t know; he wouldn’t care anyways.

You headed to the doctor’s office for your appointment trying your best to fight your tears.

You were right on time; you signed in and sat down on the uncomfortable chairs and waited to be called back.  Time ticked by so slow, you knew you weren’t waiting for more than 10 minutes before you were called back but it felt like years. Once you were called back they did your weight and vitals and you were left to wait forever once again. When the doctor came in you finally explained your symptoms and everything that had happen and she began to check you out. Then you were sent to get blood drawn and then back to waiting again.

An hour later the tests were done and the results were in. You were pregnant.

You drove home as fast as you could and went into your room crying. Luke had made it clear he wanted nothing to do with you. Even if it wasn’t true you were going to tell John it was his; you just knew it would be for the best.

You texted John to come over and within an hour he was at your door.

“Hey I got your text, what’s wrong, are you okay?” it was sweet how much he cared.

“Yeah, sit down.” You motioned towards the couch.

“John there’s no easy way to say it, but I’m pregnant.”

Silence; you really were going to have to face this alone.

He smiled the biggest smile I think I have ever seen in my whole life.

“Sarah that’s great! We’re going to be parents!” he pulled you into a hug

“It’s unexpected, but its great news, I’m so happy.”

You managed to smile; he really was a good guy.

You two talked for hours about the baby and the future together; it did cheer you up some, but you still missed Luke and thought about what had happen earlier today .

*Luke’s POV*

You were woken up by the sound of the doorbell, last night hazy for you. You got dressed and headed downstairs. You turned to see the brunette guest who’s name you couldn’t remember walking away from the door; who just answers someone’s door for them?

                “Who was it?”

“No one important Lukey,” she smirked

“I still want to know.”

“I don’t know some ugly girl.”

“Did you get her name or anything?”

“No she said she wanted to talk to you and I said you were sleeping because you were tired from all the fun we had last night and then she left. That was that.” She came around to rub your shoulders.

You were already annoyed at her for opening your door when you barely knew her, but you were full blown pissed off that she sent the girl away; what if it was Sarah.

“Get out.”

“But Luke-“

“GET OUT!”

And she did. I had to find out who came to my door; I had to know if it was Sarah. You knew it was a long shot but you couldn’t help but hope.
