You woke up at 10:30 the next day but you felt so dead and tired that you relaxed in bed till about noon, which wasn’t like you at all. You hadn’t slept that great and the thought you might be pregnant haunted you; you knew you had to go get a test today. You got dressed and headed to the drugstore on the other side of town, just to assure you that you wouldn’t see anyone you knew.
It only took you about 30 minutes to get there, if that. You pulled into the parking lot and dragged yourself inside to the isle where the tests could be found. There were so many to pick from, what was the difference and why were they so pricey? Ugh, if you were complaining about the price of the pregnancy test you didn’t want to think of how much having a child would costs.
You settled on a digital test to assure yourself you couldn’t misread it. You walked to the counter and the clerk quickly checked you out, you were thankful for that. You headed home and tried to mentally prepare yourself for one of the hardest tests of your life; you weren’t even this nervous for you SATS and they decided your future just as much as this test did.
You got to your apartment and walked to your room; you immediately got to the kitchen and started chugging water, you had gotten a pack of two tests just to be sure, so you needed a lot of pee.
About an hour later you felt the urge to go so you un-wrapped the tests and headed to the bathroom. Not going to lie peeing on a stick was a little more complicated than you anticipated but you managed. You set the tests on the counter and waited for the next few minutes to tick by slower than ever. The whole time you were waiting all you could think about was Luke, how much you missed him and how you wanted your best friend here for you in your crisis.
It was time to look; you approached the tests and picked them up to read. There were little books on both of them, what the fuck did that mean? After re-reading the directions and looking at the internet you figured out that the tests had both being inconclusive or there was some kind of error or something. You weren’t sure how you managed it but you had managed to pee on a stick wrong. You were beginning to get frustrated and decided it was best to try to just go to the doctor instead; at least this way you knew you would get an accurate diagnosis.
You called the doctor’s office and got the next appointment available which wasn’t till next week; great another week of not knowing, this was going to be fun.
You decided to tell John you were sick till you knew for sure; you didn’t think you could keep this from him as well as you had the Luke thing.
Luke. God you missed him.
You picked up your phone and scrolled through your contacts stopping on his name; there was nothing more you wanted to do then call him. You hit the green button and you heard the ring on the other end, after a few seconds you hung up, you chickened out.
What was I going to do?
*Sorry for the shorter chapter wanted to leave it on a cliffhanger though*
