Sydney's POV
"Syd I'm so sorry!" Jennifer apologizes again
"Jayje... this relationship stopped working a long time ago-"
"A-are you breaking up with me?" Jennifer cries
"JJ... be quiet" I groan
She silences herself
"I love you... and I want to be with you for the rest of my.. life, but I don't want to hold you back from Emily.... If Em is really who you love then go be with her... I'm not... gonna hate you for it.... I want you to be happy"
"Syd-"
"You either want me... or her Jayje"
"I want you Sydney Rollins! I will show you better than I can tell you" she cries
"That's... good to hear" I slightly smile
She moves closer and kisses me. A hungry kiss like she's been waiting for this moment for forever. I could taste her emotions; the sorrow, the guilt and everything in between, I could tell that she beat herself up for this.
"It's okay Jayje... you can sleep now" I say
"How-"
"I've known you.... for a long time now.... Jennifer Jareau.... I know what it looks like when you're.... sleep... deprived"
She smiles as I pat and open spot next to me for her to lay down.
"Sleep.. I'll be here... when you wake up"
She's gets all cozy, closing her eyes and drifting off to sleep. About 30 minutes later, someone walks right through the door.
"Syenna?"
"In the flesh" she smiles
"Thank you" I whisper
"Although your whole team is mad at me and blondie over there hates me, I had to find my little sis" she smiles
"She doesn't.. hate you" I slightly laugh
"Well she's mad"
"I'm sorry Syenna... I shouldn't have... put you in this position" I groan "I should've stayed... back with you"
"You missed your family love I would've done the same thing! But they are mad and I think they're more mad at you than me"
"I know... Elle's mad at me the most... I can just feel it"
"Yea..."
She shoots me a glance filled with dread, and instantly, I know the words she's about to utter.
"No"
"I have to" she sighs
"Noel is caught and I've gotta get Alex outta here it's not safe for her"
"Alex.. is here?"
"Yeah she's down the hall, room 1506"
A million thoughts run through my head
"Why is she.... in a room?! Syenna!... why... would you.... bring her here!" I slightly raise my voice
"Sydney we came to find you! Alex wouldn't let me do it alone!"
"Syenna! Is she hurt... badly?"
"Nothing I can't handle" I hear a voice in the doorway
Syenna and I turn to see Alex, she looks pretty beaten up but seems like she's doing okay.
"Alex!" I tear up
"What's that thing you triplets like to say? In the flesh?" She smirks
"If I wasn't hurting... I'd get up to hug you" I smile "then... beat the living... shit out of you"
She laughs
"Speaking of hurting Al what are you doing out of your room"
"I'm fine and the doctor says I need to regain full mobility"
"Yeah over time idiot!" Syenna says to Alex
"Syenna!" I say
"It's alright I'll beat her ass later" Alex smiles
"Alex.. come... sit down" I raise my eyebrows and she comes limping over
"You're limping... you shouldn't be up" I sigh
"And this is coming from my little sister" she says
"Your little sister... who happened... to be a doctor since 19.... and is 25 now so... I feel like... you should... listen to her" I smile
"Whatever" she smiles
"Syenna tells me... you're leaving" I say
"What?" Alex's says in pure shock
"Syd!" Syenna whines
"Why would we be leaving?" Alex says
Syenna looks down
"Give me two.... reasons... I should let... you walk out... of here... right now"
"Yeah we just got our sister back sea" Alex says
"I'm not arguing with you two about this!" Syenna snaps
"Well argue with me" Quinn walks through the door "I'm not letting you leave"
"Please!" Syenna rolls her eyes
"Sit down" Quinn demands
Syenna sits in the chair across from my bed
"Don't be too loud... Jayje... is sleeping" I say
"Actually I'm up, I'm enjoying your warmth"
"That's cute babe... how much... did you hear" I ask
"Enough" she says
"Syenna I don't hate you I just don't like what you did, you could've told me the truth"
"Granted, I feel like my sister would've wanted this I was wrong and I'm sorry" Syenna says
"Wait... what did she do... that made you so... m-mad?" I ask JJ
"Well I was kind of a bitch to JJ when I got here" Syenna responds
I roll my eyes
"Kind of" Alex rolls her eyes
"I'm sorry I just- I hated her for what she did to you"
"Yea no you should've seen her" Quinn laughs "Cara and Syenna played JJ like a fiddle"
"Cara?"
"She's a new agent who came to fill your spot" Jen says
"Just wait till you hear the rest" Syenna mumbles
