It's been a couple hours since Laura got in from surgery and she's still sleeping. I'm super worried that she won't wake up at all and it's totally my fault.
"Syd stop worrying, she's gonna be fine babe" Jennifer says
"But what if she's not fine Jayje!"
"Hey I slept this much after my surgery, she'll wake up I know it"
"Maybe"
"Don't talk like that!"
Jennifer pulls me up from the chair that I was sitting in and wraps her arms around my waist
"Laura is going to be just fine, I'm gonna meet her and she's gonna meet Lilly and all her other siblings" she rubs her stomach
I smile
"Stop worrying babe she will be fine! Weren't you a doctor anyways" she jokes
"Haha very funny" I laugh
"Mom?" I hear making me turn around
"Laura!" I turn to her and scoop her in for a huge hug.
My daughter.. the one that I thought I had lost forever I have her back and it feels like a miracle, no one has ever uttered a word about Laura since the kidnapping but I have her back now and that's all I could ask for.
"Ow mom you're hurting me" she says
"Oh I'm- I'm sorry" I smile through my tears
Jennifer admires Laura's facial features from afar but I could sense Laura's uneasiness with her.
"Mom" she whispers and grabs onto my arm
"It's okay sweetheart, her name is Jennifer" I say
"Hi Ms. Jennifer" she says nervously
"Hi Laura your moms told me so much about you" Jennifer smiles
"Is she here to take me away" Laura whispers
"What? No" I smile
"No one is taking you away from me my love that is a promise" I kiss her forehead
She pulls me closer for a cuddle
"Ms. Jennifer is my wife Laur" I say
Her whole demeanor changed. What I thought was gonna make her uneasy actually made her happy as the widest smile grew upon her face which made me happy.
"Your wife?" She smiles
I nod
"So you two have-"
"Lauralynn!" I scold
She laughs
"Wow she's a lot like Lilly" Jennifer laughs
"Lilly? Whose Lilly?" Laura asks
"This is the hard part..." I say dreading this moment
"What is it mom?"
"Lilly is your sister.. your twin sister she-"
"She looks exactly like me?"
"Yes" I say
"I always felt like a part of me was missing.. do I get to meet her?" She asks excitedly
"As a matter of fact you do, after everyone is cleared to ride the jet" I smile
"Jet? You have a jet?"
"Yes ma'am I have a jet"
"Yeah that's something I didn't know either" JJ smiles walking closer to Laura
