Sydney's POV
It's been almost a month since JJ and I last talked so Arizona recommended couples therapy and it has been an- adventure...
"Okay so you two have basically been on separation for about three weeks now and I think it's time that you two got together and had an actual conversation with one another would that be something you both can agree on?" Lynn says
Lynn is our therapist and it's been quite a ride
"Yes" I say
JJ nods
"Alright should I step out?"
"That would make me more comfortable if you did" I say
"It's always about you" JJ smiles
"Well if you want her to stay she can stay" I sigh
"No you already asked her to leave so why not"
"Why does everything always have to be an argument with you?"
"So you can see how it feels"
"I'm just gonna step out" Lynn says
"I had some really good things to say so can we please stop arguing?" I ask
She grows quiet
"Jayje I've realized what a big mistake leaving was I mean you cheated on me and I had a reaction but that's a human nature to have a reaction.. I'm not saying running was a good reaction because it definitely wasn't" I tear up "I hurt you and I couldn't be more sorry..."
"There's a part of me that wants to believe that Sydney but I just don't" she says
"Jayje we haven't talked in weeks, the kids have noticed and-"
"The kids? The kids are fine you don't get to worry about them because you didn't when you ran"
"Wh- so now I'm not a good mother?"
"You said it not me" she says
"I'm done with this, we're not getting any better so here" I pull my ring off and hand it to her "we're done, it's what you wanted anyways"
At work:
"We have a case" Syenna speeds past my desk
"Wait uppp!" I yell
"How'd therapy go?" She asks
"Horrible, I think I ended things with JJ"
"What do you mean you ended things you can't end things when you've got children"
"She doesn't wanna forgive me so I removed myself from the equation"
"Do you really think that-"
"Sydney?" Derek calls from behind us
We both stop
"What's up?" I ask
He had a pretty confused look on his face "you move fast huh"
"What are you talking about?"
"I just saw you in the parking lot"
"I've been in here the whole time" I smile
"Sydney I swear I saw you" he smiles
"Perhaps you saw me mate" Syenna says
"That would make sense except why we're you pretending to be Syd?"
