Poe couldn't hold back a laugh. But he quickly realised that neither Ly'ra nor Hux were sharing his amusement. Even worse, the young woman's gaze had totally changed.

"How??"

"N-no, wait... Ly'ra, you're not believing that story? He's dead, it's over this time!"

But a new light appeared in Ly'ra's green eyes. The young woman was fixing the floor silently, before grapping her husband's arm.

"Ly'ra? What is it Love? It's the baby??"

Then, she suddenly released him and looked up at the man.

"No! No, no! It can't be true... Go and find Rey now! Hurry!"

Completely confused, the pilot frowned, glanced at Hux who didn't seem to understand more than he did, but understanding the hurry in his wife's voice, he agreed and ran out of the medical wing quickly.

"Okay... I'll be right back!"

He really didn't like the idea to leave Ly'ra alone with her ex fiancé, but Poe also learned to trust her instinct. He ran as fast as he could through the Cruiser, cursing himself to have left his comlink in his cabin, and finally found the young Jedi in the main shed, trying to fix once again the Falcon with Chewie.

"Rey! Hey! I need you to come with me now!"

The young woman ducked out of the engines, frowning before stepping closer.

"What is it?"

For a moment, Poe wanted to explain everything, with all the details but he quickly realised that he would confuse the Jedi more than anything. He thus ended up with a simple sum up:

"Ly'ra needs to talk to you now. It seems urgent."

Rey didn't ask a simple question. She threw the oily tissue she had in her hands and ran after the pilot.

When they arrived back in the medical wing, the young woman asked right away:

"What is it?"

Ly'ra turned her eyes on her friend, really worried.

"It seems we're not the only ones looking for Mortis..."

"What??"

Rey stepped closer, giving an intrigued glance at Hux who simply nodded softly, before she turned her eyes on the young woman.

"Tell me..."

Once again, Ly'ra turned her eyes on her ex fiancé and nodded softly as the Jedi and the pilot were both taking a seat.

"Few weeks ago, I was on Dressel. As you may know, there are still some followers of the First Order over there. Just for you to know, I wasn't there for them. So that now things are clear... Anyway... For now I'm working in a cantina and I heard two former Officers talking to each other. They were pretty wasted and they didn't care to be heard by everyone around. They talked about a lot of things, more or less important but one thing had picked my interest. They were talking about Palpatine and the World between Worlds. According to what I heard, they were looking for a sort of magical door or something like that... A kind of portal..."

Noticing the two girls's worried expressions, Hux stopped, frowning. He then took a deep breath, nodded and looked down.

"Yeah... That's what I thought... At first, I thought it was bullshit, that they were trying to gather attention around them, but then I thought about you... And about these new capacities you have... And... I don't know, I thought that it might not be important, that at worse I would be joked at. But I knew that if it was meaning something for someone, it would be you. And seeing your faces to both of you, it doesn't look good at all..."
