THREE WEEKS AFTER THE MURDER HOUSE

they fought hard

now they can

rest in peace

-

She stood at the podium, looking out at the crowd staring back at her. She opened her mouth to speak, but she felt like she couldn't like someone was holding her tongue. She knew she was just scared, scared to say how sad she was feeling, how lonley.

"My name's Tamina," Tamina said into the microphone, looking out at the crowd staring at her, "Charlie, Luke, Wendy, Michael, Ashton, and Jordyn, they were all my best friends. I loved them, with all my heart, and they loved me. Without them, I don't know where I'd be right now, probably behind a dumpster in all honesty. They found me, when I lost myself, they loved me, when I didn't love myself, they saved me. They didn't deserve this. They'll never be able to have a family, explore the world, do all the things that they once wanted to, but they fought. They fought hard, and now they can rest."

It was so strange, to see what little family they had. Tamina's mother didn't show up, but Tamina was kind of glad for that since they had a very rocky past. Calum's mom was there along with Charlie's dad, Wendy's mom was there too but her dad wasn't, which didn't surprise Tamina or Calum at all. Michael's mom was there, it was surprising to see her after so long, Jordyn's mom was there and so was Luke's father. Ashton's parents were in the back and Tamina couldn't bear to stare at them any longer.

The relationships that each of them had with their parents were all so twisted in some way, none of them truly had the perfect family.

She stepped down from the stage and sat down next to Calum, who grabbed her hand softly. She started to think about highschool and all the hell that they had went through. She thought that after highschool, they could leave all of that behind, instead they created a new hell, by moving into the murder house.

She knew that wasn't something they would be able to leave behind.

When the funeral was over, Tamina told Calum that she wanted to go back tot he house, one last time. She told him that she just wanted closure, but she was lying straight through her teeth, she was keeping things from him.

She wanted to see Kyle for one reason only.

She wanted to say goodbye to him.

Calum ha no idea that Tamina planned on leaving him, but he noticed how isolated she had become. He didn't bug her about it htough, he just thought it was because of all they had expierenced.

"Are you sure?" Calum asked her once they were outside the house. They had walked there and the entire walk, she was completely silent.

She nodded and he sighed. They walked to the front door, ducking under the yellow tape. She grabbed a bobby pin from her hair and picked the lock to the house, Calum following behind her.

The smell of dry blood ade Tamina gag, but she kept the little food she had ate inside her stomach. Calum tried his hardest not to breathe in so he wouldn't inhale the smell.

They both went upstairs and opened the door to Tamina's old bedroom. Her jaw dropped slightly at the sight of what she saw and Calum's breathing was shaky. There was Luke on Jordyn's bed, with Charlie's head in his lap. He ran his fingers through her hair and smiled at her.
