After everyone had had supper and gone to bed, Pandora went down from her room to the kitchen. She was hungry, but she didn't want to sit with everyone else. Today it wasn't particularly because she was avoiding TNT. Although that was one of the reasons, the other reason was because she was feeling so much shame and so much guilt that day.
She put some water in the kettle and left it to boil. Then she grabbed some noodles in a cup from the kitchen cabinet and waited for the water to come to a boil.
As she waited, she heard footsteps approaching her. She was hoping it was one of her bandmates, but she chose to ignore the person completely and focused on the water in the kettle.
'Pandora.' Chengxin's voice said behind her. 'Why are you having dinner this time? It's like 1am.'
Pandora turned away from the kettle and faced the person she didn't want to see at this moment. 'Because I didn't have supper with you guys.' She answered him in a duh tone.
'Yeah, why don't you have supper with us anyway?' Chengxin walked over to the kitchen counter and grabbed a glass from one of the dishes. He put it at the spout of the tap and filled it with water.
She found herself standing next to him and she wasn't at all pleased. Besides, Chengxin was very invasive in Pandora's point of view. She was praying he wouldn't push her too much, but he was the most annoying person in the building so far.
'Does it matter if I have supper with you or not?' Pandora looked back at the kettle and waited impatiently. The minute the water was going to come to a boil, she swore that she would quickly pour it in her noodles and have them in her room.
Chengxin gulped up his water then looked back at her after wiping his mouth. 'Well it does matter because we're here to get along. We have to do most activities together.'
'Oh my goodness, what is wrong with you? You're so bossy and you're so pushy.' Pandora complained. 'Now I understand why my fans threw cake batter at you.'
'Excuse me?' Chengxin felt himself becoming argumentative, but he knew he was better off avoiding it. He quickly calmed himself down as he reminded himself his mission.
There was silence as Chengxin tried to figure out the right words to say while Pandora turned back to the kettle and watched it as if it was performing a magic trick.
The silence was becoming too heavy for Pandora who found it absolutely awkward. 'Can you just go? You're done with drinking your water, I don't know what you're doing here.'
'Why should I leave?' Chengxin asked with a cute shrug.
'Because I don't want to see you.'
'That sucks because I still want to see you.' Chengxin almost face palmed when he realized how flirty that sounded.
'You're disgusting!' Pandora exclaimed with a look of disgust. 'I could throw this boiling water at you right now.'
'I didn't mean it that way!' Chengxin clarified.
The kettle clicked, and Pandora sighed in relief. She picked it up and poured the water in her cup. She picked up the cup and a pack of chopsticks.
'I don't care whether you meant it or not, just stop being pushy and bossy. I'm not a TNT member so you can't order me around.' Pandora started to walk to the stairs.
'Understood!' Chengxin concluded. 'By the way, can you tell Nikita to come down? Tell her it's important.'
'Nikita?' Pandora stopped in her tracks.
'Uh...ok whatever.' Pandora nodded slowly then continued to walk up the stairs. It was weird that Chengxin wanted to see Nikita, but she surely wasn't gonna ask him.
