The next day, they were having an activity. When the director told them that they were going to a haunted house, Yaowen couldn't help but remember his last encounter with a haunted house several years back. People still made fun of how he reacted, but now he was grown and confident. He knew he wouldn't be scared anymore...or at least he hoped so.

'This is gonna be so much fun.' Zhenyuan said the moment they arrived outside the haunted house. 'Actually, I rarely get scared.'

'Sure Zhenyuan, sure.' Chengxin answered sarcastically then walked over to Pandora. The two smiled at each other.

Haoxiang deftly moved over to the director who was still talking with the camera crew, carefully planning out the footage.

'Sir,' Haoxiang finally walked over to him and bowed. 'How are you doing?'

'I'm good Haoxiang, what is it?' he answered, now busy with reading a piece of paper.

'Have you already distributed groups today or we're gonna pick randomly again?' he asked him.

'Already randomly distributed young man...and its pairs today, not groups. Although one person will end up alone.'

Haoxiang nodded. 'Who am I with?'

'What are you so curious about today?' the director was surprised with Haoxiang who never really seemed to care about the activities most times. Nevertheless, he checked the piece of paper he was holding. 'You are with Jiaqi.'

'Oh okay,' Haoxiang looked away momentarily, thinking he had asked too much questions. But he was going to continue anyway. He turned back to the director. 'Who's Chengxin with?'

The director glared at him, but once more, he checked the paper he was holding. 'Pandora.'

Haoxiang nodded quite angrily, but still didn't believe that chance would always put Pandora and Chengxin together. 'You didn't put them together just because they were the ones attacked by the fans and you want the fans to see that they get along right?'

The director looked at Haoxiang mischievously. 'Oh you got me! I really did that. It's just this once though.' He laughed heartily.

Haoxiang nodded. 'But they also teamed up last time when they were going shopping for housewarming gifts. Fans will find it suspicious that now they've teamed up again. They're gonna think you're taking them as fools.'

The director sighed in exasperation. 'Listen, Haoxiang, I've been in the show business long enough. I know what I'm...'

'But I know my fans more. And I know they're going to realize what's going on and really view this as media play...they'll know you're trying to make them think TNT and Apogee get along.'

The director rubbed his temples. 'I see.'

'You have to pair her with someone she's never been paired with before to make it fair. Someone like...me.'

The director could have been able to see through Haoxiang, but he just wanted him to go away and stop disturbing them. 'Yeah you're right.' He agreed and crossed out the printed names on the paper with a fountain pen. He crossed out Haoxiang and replaced it with Chengxin in their pair, then crossed out Chengxin and replaced it with Haoxiang. 'There. Happy?'

'Yes.' Haoxiang nodded and walked back to the crowd.

Junlin pulled the sleeve of Haoxiang's sweater. 'Hey, what were you talking with the director about?'

'You'll see.' Haoxiang answered his friend who simply stared blankly at him.

The participants waited a little longer before the director stood in front of them. 'So welcome to this haunted house activity guys! I hope you have fun...no, rather, I hope you get scared. Because it's a haunted house activity, it will be a bit boring for us to have three people together. Three's a crowd, they won't really be scared. So...we're going to have pairs and one person will end up alone.'
