It had now been a month, and the last night at the dorms as well as the last episode of the show. Most of them were excited to get back to their own dorms and rest, but they still had some mixed feelings about leaving the place. They had had lots of fun there and made many great memories.
The cameras were filming all the farewells, trying to make the last episode as emotional as they could. The objective of the show had been achieved: to unite Popcorns and Apogee fans. Of course, there had been no more drama between the fans, not even on the internet (except for a few bad apples which probably exist in every fandom).
After the filming was done, the cameras were packed up, in anticipation for the journey away from the buildings. It was evening time, and now the interaction had gotten more personal. Junlin was most worried about missing Pandora's congee, and the others shook his head in disapproval when he didn't even mention missing the person who cooked the food.
'Junlin you have got to learn to cook the food you like so much,' Haoxiang said as he pulled his best friend who was fake sobbing. He patted his back in consolation.
Yaxuan was out and about, visiting every room and giving his farewell to it. He bumped into the several suitcases in the living room, almost making them fall to the floor.
'What are you gonna miss most about this place?' Rio asked Chengxin with a smile.
He wanted to tell her he wouldn't miss the place, because to him it was filled with so much bad memories. He hated every place he had spent time with Pandora with, and he honestly didn't want to see it. But if he told Rio the truth, she would probably be disappointed. He smiled at her. 'Of course I'll miss you the most.'
'Aww Chengxin,' Rio put an arm around his waist and pulled him into a hug. 'I guess we can be talking every time we're free right? And facetime too.'
Chengxin nodded and put an arm over her shoulder.
He looked around the group of people, noticing that everyone was there except Pandora. He already knew where she was, and he felt he needed to talk to her. This was the last time they were ever going to talk, and he had to seize this opportunity where Haoxiang was hanging out with Junlin.
'I'm gonna be right back.' Chengxin said to Rio as he let her go.
'Okay.' Rio answered and watched as he left then went up the stairs. She then walked over to the group and started to interact with them instead.
Chengxin nervously made his way to the rooftop, and stopped in his tracks when he saw Pandora. She was once again leaning on the railings and looking into the night sky, just like she usually did. He took his chance and walked over to her, putting his arms on the railings as well and stood next to her.
Pandora turned to the person who had just come over, and she couldn't help but smile at him. She missed seeing his face this close.
'I figured you'd be here.' Chengxin told her. This was one of the places with the most painful memories to Chengxin.
'You know me so well I guess.' She answered, then there was silence.
Chengxin sighed, 'anyway, I won't pretend that I'm not gonna miss you. You really made my life awesome while I was here...and I think you've taught me a lot. I don't like how it ended but I don't want to regret whatever happened between us.' he didn't know if he meant everything, but he felt he did.
A small smile appeared on Pandora's lips, but it wasn't exactly a happy one. It seemed more like a pained smile. 'Thanks Chengxin, and I'm sorry that it didn't work out. But I'm glad you have Rio.' She didn't mean the last words, but she didn't want to seem like someone who was jealous. After all, she had no right to be jealous. She had pushed him away in favor of her past boyfriend, even though not a day passed when she didn't overthink her decision.
