CHAPTER 4

'Hey, Pandora,' she heard Nikita say, sounding like she was at a distance. The problem was that Pandora was too sleepy, she had only slept an hour ago at 5 am and now they were waking her up. 'Pandooora.' Nikita said in a sing-song voice.

Pandora's eyes just couldn't open no matter how hard she tried. That was until she felt something heavy get thrown at her head.

'Rio,' Nikita reprimanded.

'Ow!' Pandora rubbed her head as she immediately sat up, then saw the brown high-heeled boot that was now lying on the floor. Rio had just hit her in the head with a shoe and Pandora didn't find it funny. 'Why?!'

'You weren't waking up.' Rio shrugged her shoulders.

Pandora rolled her eyes. 'What's going on anyway? Why couldn't you wait for me to wake up?'

'Well,' Nikita started, 'the manager is complaining about you because of what happened to Chengxin and he wants you to apologize again. He was so mad he said we should inform you immediately.'

'What happened to Chengxin?' Pandora wondered.

'Our fans threw cake batter at him because of what you said last time.' She gritted her teeth.

'Ha!' Pandora laughed. 'Our fans are so hilarious, I swear I love them...'

'Pandora,' Nikita cut her. 'It's not funny and it's not nice. People are gonna start to hate us if our fans misbehave and it's going to be your fault.'

'How is it my fault!? I just said TNT didn't deserve the award, I didn't say that they should throw cake batter at Chengxin!'

'Anyway you're gonna have to apologize again and...' Nikita started to speak before being interrupted.

'I don't know if that will really help.' Rio said, looking at the screen of her purple cellphone. 'Fans are saying that Pandora was forced by the company to apologize so they won't believe any apology because "it's clear that Pandora does not like TNT"'

'My fans know me so well.' Pandora wiped an imaginary tear in pride.

Nikita gave her a reprimanding look which Pandora felt like she had seen too many times.

'If my fans won't believe me, why should I apologize anyway?' She smirked. 'And please, we have a fan meeting this afternoon, you guys better let me get my sleep before I act all cranky to the people I love the most.'

'Why do we even bother?' Nikita said to herself and walked out of the bedroom.

That afternoon, the three were driven to the scene of the fan meeting. It was a sunny afternoon with a blue sky, and Pandora couldn't pick a more perfect day to meet her beloved fans. As they walked out of the van, they smiled and waved at the fans who were going wild with their presence.

Pandora walked happily ahead of her two bandmates and their manager, and the bodyguard was trying his best to keep up with her. When they finally made it inside the concert hall where the fan signing would take place, Nikita sat in the middle of the two girls. Pandora was at the beginning of the line, so the fans met her first.

The fans were excited to be in the same room with their idols, and as the signing and gift-giving progressed, most fans seemed to be most excited to see Pandora. That was expected anyway, Pandora was the most popular and most loved among them.

She greeted every fan happily as they came to their autographs and hand them gifts. She wasn't the nicest person, but the people she could never be mean to were her fans. She believed her fans made her who she was, and she held a deep affection for them.

'Aw this is so cute,' Pandora said as she received a stuffed penguin from one of her fans. 'I'm gonna name him...Yang.'

The fan smiled and thanked Pandora, before she moved on to Nikita. Pandora took out her cellphone and snapped a selfie with her new toy friend, and it would end up on the bed with the rest of her numerous stuffed animals.

After they had finished talking to the fans, it was time for the performances and stage interactions. The three girls were now standing on the stage above the audience who were still excited.

'We want to see Pandora do her famous moves from "A Mile Away"!' One of the fans shouted from the audience after several performances and interactions from Apogee. Soon, the crowd joined the fan in agreement.

Pandora smiled to herself then looked at her bandmates as if for approval. Nikita was smiling at her while Rio was looking in the distance as if she hadn't heard a thing.

'Ok! Since you say so!' Pandora announced on the microphone then handed it over to Nikita to hold on to it for her.

Pandora stepped forward and started to dance her famous dance solo from the song. She moved skillfully on the stage, and there was loud cheers from the fans. But there was a problem, she could hear some "boos" coming from the audience. Even though there were more cheers than boos, being the perfectionist she was, Pandora stopped dancing. She had never been booed before.

'Who's booing at our queen!?' one male fan asked, standing from his seat and turning around to the audience defensively, as if he was willing to protect Pandora with everything he had.

More fans also joined him in searching for the perpetrators.

'We have a right to say she can't dance just like she said TNT didn't deserve that award! And you fans threw cake batter at our artist!' One female fan replied from the back.

'What are you doing invading our fan meeting!? So you Popcorns just came in here to fight with us!?' another fan answered the girl.

'Your fandom invaded Chengxin's Showcase too!' another fan replied.

'Guys...calm down.' Nikita said through the microphone, trying to stop the situation which was quickly getting heated.

Before anyone knew it, the fans had started fighting with each other. There were even physical fights between some fans and some Popcorns, while some fights were violently verbal. All three Apogee members watched in shock as the situation was getting out of control. There was such a loud commotion in the room.

Security quickly walked towards Apogee, making sure to protect them from the situation which was too chaotic.

'Protect the fans! They're hurting each other!' Pandora cried behind a large bodyguard.

'We're protecting you ladies first because a fan could easily find their way to you in this commotion.' the man replied.

Seeing that there were more Apogee fans in the room than the Popcorns who had invaded the meeting, the Popcorns were pushed out of the concert hall and found themselves outside with some minor injuries. But some devoted Apogee fans were still not satisfied, they wanted to teach Popcorns a lesson they wouldn't forget.

Pandora still felt overwhelmed as they heard the police sirens outside. The Apogee fans who were trying to continue assaulting Popcorns were captured before they went too far and were soon to be taken straight to the police station. Pandora had never seen such a chaotic fan meeting, as many Apogee fans fled from the scene to escape incarceration.

Pandora felt guilt overtaking her emotions, it was all her fault. Some of her fans were now headed to the police all because of something which would have been avoided if she hadn't said what she said at the awards. It was all a string of events which she didn't expect would go this far.

Pandora turned to Nikita who was also watching the scene unfold fearfully.

'It's all your fault!' Rio suddenly accused, trying to hide her feelings of fear and shock.

'Yes it is.' Pandora conceded for the first time.
