CHAPTER 30

'I don't know how to say this,' Jiaqi said to Pandora as they stood outside in the front yard. 'I'm not saying it's your fault, but I think this stuff will stop when you make a choice. Today was really terrible, and I bet it could only get worse.'

Pandora sighed. 'I guess you're right.'

'So...I'm not giving you any pressure but you gotta choose as soon as possible. Whoever you wanna choose, I'm not telling you who.' He gave her a small smile.

'Yeah, I'll try to think about it as soon as possible.' She rubbed the back of her head, wondering how she was even going to make a choice. She didn't want to date in the first place, but she couldn't deny that she loved at least one of these boys.

Jiaqi was about to leave, but he decided to help her out in her decision. And after all, he was rooting for Chengxin, so it was only fair for him to at least help out Chengxin. 'About the fight, Chengxin is not that type of person. I think Haoxiang must have provoked him, because Chengxin doesn't hit people. Trust me, if he did, the first person he would have hit is Yaowen. It means Haoxiang must have pushed him really bad.'

'Yeah I know Haoxiang's attitude, I dated him remember? He can be really insensitive sometimes.' She agreed with him.

'Exactly,' Jiaqi nodded. 'Besides, I think the only reason you think you like Haoxiang is because he keeps reminding you about the past. Aside from history, there's nothing else you have. Chengxin really loves you...I've never seen him fall this hard for anyone before.'

A slight blush appeared on Pandora's cheeks and she looked down. 'Really? I guess he is a good guy.'

'Trust me he is.' Jiaqi patted her shoulder. 'But I'm not telling you who to choose.' He needed to add that, even though he was indeed telling her who to choose.

'No, no, I think I'll be able to make my decision this evening.' Pandora smiled a bit.

'Really? Yeah go for it.' Jiaqi knew who she was going to choose, and he internally smiled to himself. He had put in a good effort for his friend, and more especially, the man he felt deserved her.

After he was done with Pandora, Jiaqi quickly walked into Chengxin's room. He found Chengxin lying on his bed with his hands behind his head, facing the ceiling. He was evidently not asleep, but deep in thought.

'Hey dude,' Jiaqi said excitedly.

'Why are you so excited? I'm really worried.' Chengxin cried. 'Pandora must think I'm such a terrible person. I bet Haoxiang made it seem like I just hit him.'

'No listen,' Jiaqi bent down next to Chengxin's bed. 'I wanted her to make a decision to stop these fights. I told her that Haoxiang probably provoked you, and she believed me because she knows him very well. And...I told her really good stuff about you and she blushed...then she said she knows who to pick right after I told her all those good stuff about you. I think I know who she's gonna choose.'

Chengxin widened his eyes with a happy expression. 'What!? You're not kidding are you?' he sat up.

'Why would I lie to you on such an important matter?' Jiaqi smirked. 'That girl is yours, by now she knows how terrible Haoxiang is and that if he hurt her once, he can hurt her again.'

Chengxin smiled, still in disbelief. 'Thank you Jiaqi, I don't know how to repay you.'

'Hey, it's what friends do. Besides, I know that you deserve her.' Jiaqi gave him a thumbs up. 'So do expect her to meet you this evening.'

Chengxin nodded his head excitedly.

That evening, Chengxin still hadn't lost most of his excitement. He wanted to dress well in preparation for her admission, but he didn't want to overdo it. Besides, he had to act like he didn't know who she was gonna choose. So instead, he stayed in his usual clothes and sprayed some expensive cologne on himself.
